XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU AUG 04, 2005 11:35:09 ET XXXXX
NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN
**Exclusive**
The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.
The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.
Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.
Both children were adopted from Latin America.
A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."
Roberts young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his fathers Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldnt stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.
Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josies and Jacks mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.
One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES plans declared: Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts family like this is despicable. Childrens lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.
One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. This cant possibly be true?
Developing...
Your on to something the left does not make it easy for people to adopt children in this country either.
This is Robin Givhan, the fashion editor of The Washington Post, at the CFDA 2004 Awards. Can you believe she had the audacity to criticize the dress of Mrs. Roberts and the children at Judge Roberts' nomination? Ms. Givhan does not appear to have much fashion sense or talent. The dress is unbecoming, unattractive, her slip is showing, and her shoes, if not outdated, should be! The Roberts', in contrast, were well dressed and their clothes were becoming. You cannot say the same for Ms. Givhan!
She looks like the kind of witch who enjoys abusing children.
The long knives are out for John Roberts. Google News search of his name yields: "Roberts Failed to Disclose Lobbyist Work" -- Washington Post story around noon August 4.

Complete with pic of Roberts looking a bit pained. :(
As for that "style critic", Ms. Givhan, I see about 11 fashion no-no's in her attire. She's not worth a minute of anyone's time, but I do think I'll fill out a form and report her to Mr. Blackwell for immediate re-programing.

Yes, it's outrageous, but just think how frustrated they'll be when they turn up absolutely nothing.
To tell you the truth, I can't tell if she's going for a night out or climbing into bed!
Typical dems using kids as political fodder.
That is the ugliest outfit I have ever seen.

Jack McCay, law partner of Roberts wife Jane and a friend, speaks of the couples adoption of John (Jack) and Josephine, born in Ireland 4 1/2 months apart. As frequently happens when you go through the adoption process, some of the efforts werent successful, and it continued for a time
But when the opportunity came along to have not just one but two kids, they took both babies without blinking.
What a crock of Hello there! B. S. Crapola!
This article says they're from Ireland. Now I'm confused!
2. They are trying to intimidate Mr. & Mrs. Roberts on the abortion issue --- you push too hard, and we will move all of Hell to take your children away from you.
Pure evil.
Babies adopting children ping.
Is it really that difficult to write, "The children were adopted as infants from Latin America"?
NOTHING is sacred or SEALED anymore.
We have more laws than Carter has liver pills, or peanuts-depending on which Carter you are referring to, but that doesn't matter. Only the "chosen" few are obliged to follow them. There is no longer a moral compass guiding the inhabitants of this country, it lies crushed by the wayside.
Nobody cares what this may do to this family or what long term repercussions this despicable action could have on these innocent young children. But hey, who cares...they have blond hair, after all.
1) Determine that Chelsea is Webb Hubble's daugher, not Bill's and
2) Write and print an article reporting those facts to the world.
That's right! The abortion lobby is going after the Roberts children. He threatens the livelyhood of those who do God only knows what to the aborted. They want to find someone, anyone who is (biologically)related to the children .So they can challenge the adoptions of those children.
Letter from New York Times.
HELLO DAMAGE CONTROL BIG TIME:
Dear Dr. XXXXXXXXX
Thanks for giving us a chance to reply to the account on the Drudge Report.
As is often the case, the Drudge Report is wrong, overwrought and a gross misrepresentation of what has happened.
Like all major news organizations, we report extensively on the life and career of any nominee or candidate for high public office. Most of the inquiries we make do not result in published articles at all; we would simply be remiss if we did not ask the questions.
In the case of Judge Roberts's family, our reporters made initial inquiries about the adoptions, as they did about many other aspects of his background. They did so with great care, understanding the sensitivity of the issue. We did not order up an investigation of the adoptions. We have not pursued the issue after the initial inquiries, which detected nothing irregular about the adoptions.
Sincerely, Bill Borders, senior editor
This shows me just HOW DESPERATE to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING negative about this man. The SLIMES is a worthless rag not worthy of lining a bird cage!
Aren't Libs constantly yammering about the 'right to privacy'. I mean, this is there keystone to abortion 'rights'.... but I guess invading the privacy of a judicial candidacy because the MSM is on a jehad to maintain their strangle-hold on the courts... well, that's understandable.
