Can we say "RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!"
If you live in the area, perhaps it might be a good time to take a vacation...

Stan Deyo, the Y2k/UFO guy?
It sounds like Mt. Saint Helens is doing what volcanos do.

I don't see any collapse in the photos. The post-collapse photo simply seems zoomed in, and lit differently.

Photo trickery going on. I see no collapse. Maybe a little settling of loose ash/earth with the minor quake.

I worry more about Mt. Renier. When that one blows, California is in big trouble. It'll signal the break up of the western U.S. coast. The ring of fire will implode.

The webcam shows Mt. St. Helens enveloped in what looks to be a cloud of dust. Cool!

yikes.... thanks for the info. Our family toured the area around Mt. St. Helens after the last eruption. It is incredible about how much damage an area can have and yet, we saw little plants beginning to grow. Its witnessing a small miracle in my eyes :)

After a quick edit/crop of the "after" picture, you can more easily compare the before/after in the same context. The "after" shot is on the left.
