FReepers Keep Code Pink in Quagmire, July 22 (Join us, Double FReep July 29)
DC Chapter ^ | July 26, 2005 | BillF

Posted on 07/26/2005 11:28:33 AM PDT by BillF

Code Pink remains stuck in a quagmire and continues sinking fast as evidenced by, among other things, pathetic turnout on their side against a record turnout by FReepers who outnumbered them by more than 4 to 1 most of the evening of Friday night, July 22.  Code Pinkos continue holding a weekly anti-war blood dance at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the liberal bastion of Washington, DC, a city filled with left wing activists. Yet, the Pinkos have been outnumbered for eight weeks in a row, aside from about ten minutes 5 or 6 weeks ago when they briefly held the numerical edge.

FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond have consistently outnumbered the Pinkos for weeks now, but we need yet more FReepers to attend this coming Friday if we are to continue the streak. For reasons discussed below, we suspect that the Pinkos will have a larger group this coming Friday, July 29. If you've been holding off coming until it really counted, make that extra effort to attend this time.

Do you think that the Pinkos are sicko to have an anti-war demonstration at a hospital holding war-wounded? Then please help us by showing next Friday night per details below and also note that this will be a double FReep.

This was Fifteenth Fabulous Fun FReep of the Code Pinkos as FReepers continue to frustrate the Pinkos evil scheme. Pinkos want to fake friendship with soldiers in hopes of finding one or more who, vulnerable in their wounded state, can be manipulated into joining the anti-war movement and breaking faith with their fellow troops. Many of the most severely wounded troops from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are taken to Walter Reed for continued treatment and rehabilitation. The Pinkos other goal is too demoralize those wounded troops.

As we have done on a number of these FReeps, we ate pizza on site before the FReep was under way.

The honor roll of those in attendance:  AlwaysFree, tgslTakoma, daughter of tgsl, Albion Wilde, Justanobody, 3-D Joy, lurker Joan, Christopher Lincoln, Jimmy Valentine's brother, trueblackman, EDINVA, Jack Deth, Gadsdenman, Nina0113, Doctor Raoul, BufordP, kristinn, and BillF.  For the second week in a row, we set a new record turnout for us. As happened last week, our large numbers led us to spread out among all three available corners, Pinkos being on the other corner.

Note that some of the wider photos may open in a window wider than your screen and you can use a horizontal scroll bar to see parts. Photos marked with an asterisk are great photos taken by Gadsdenman.

Photos will be interspersed in the report. As it got progressively darker, my telephoto lens shots became less clear requiring software enhancement. You will notice that people look more like cartoon characters in my later telephoto lens photos. Gadsdenman brought a very good camera, telephoto lenses, and flash, allowing him to capture high quality tele-photos in the dark.]

Opposed to our eighteen patriots, the Pinkos had their most pathetic outing in a long-time. The leftists peaked at five America-hating traitors, but had four or less during most of the 2 hour window (8 pm to 10 pm) that the Pinkos designate for their troop-hating bash. In a stunning surprise, and for the first time in weeks, the first Pinko and some signs actually arrived on site on time. They peaked at three troop-haters early on, but a fourth arrived quite late into the event.  Finally with ten minutes to go, a fifth Pinko showed up. Then right at 9:59 pm the Pinkos convinced a pedestrian to hold one of the Code Pinko signs for less than 60 seconds, even as the Pinkos were packing things up to leave immediately at 10 pm.

If the Pinkos hadn't endorsed the Iraqi resistance (see here and here), given money to the other side in Fallujah, and called our troops "killers," one might almost be tempted to feel sorry for them. Their effort was so sad.

It's 8 pm. Pinkos are pulling signs out of their car. Haven't they heard Doctor Raoul's chant: "NO OIL FOR PROTEST.
WALK TO THE PROTESTS. WALK HOME?"

For the second week in a row, Gael Murphy, the chief DC Pinko, who totally lost it at the FReep two weeks back, was a no-show on this night.  Perhaps, she is vacationing at the beach, while her useful idiots languish in the excessive heat and the onslaught of FReepers speaking truth to counter the Pinkos' lies. Also, the usual truck that carries most of their signs never showed up, but they apparently had moved at least some of their signs to another vehicle as shown above. Truck is on vacation with Murphy?

Gadsdenman's great photo of the MOAB from behind showing us across from Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Photo taken
from church parking lot behind our position and shows leftists in distance at far left, diagonally across Georgia Ave from us. *

A little after 8 pm, Pinkos setting up. They never did have enough
leftists to hold their mini-banner. At that time, FReepers
were set up as in previous two photos.

A third Pinko joins the first two as Blue Pony-tail Guy pulls out
"Workers and Soldiers United."

When the Blue Pony-tail Guy held up his "Workers and Soldiers United" sign, it was all we could do to avoid laughing. Could he make a sign that made them sound more like Commies? I don't know how.  It was the first time we had seen this sign. We would like to say that we had secretly deposited this sign in the leftists' bag of signs to make them look foolish. But no, we don't need to do tricks to make them look like Commie losers. They look that way all by themselves.

Lurker Joan, BillF, and Albion Wilde directly across
Georgia Ave from the Pinkos.*

Arrow sign (partially visible at left, see full sign in left photo)
pointing to Pinkos across Georgia Ave.

Gadsdenman took photos and held a sign across the side street
from the Pinkos. This corner was later reinforced by other
FReepers, thus with us holding 3 corners to the Pinkos 1.

3D-Joy dressed up for the FReep.

tgslTakoma and 3D-Joy cut birthday cake sent by 3D-Joy's daughter to
celebrate 3D-Joy's birthday, which was the day after the FReep.*

During the FReep, many of us had a nice chat with a young soldier (right photo, up two rows) who was a Walter Reed patient. The soldier had been evacuated from Baghdad for medical reasons. We thanked him for his service. He had just come out to the street to get some pizza being delivered and was amazed to see us there.

The leftists seemed more dispirited than ever. In contrast, we shared birthday cake to celebrate 3D-Joy's birthday that was coming the next day.

EDINVA, Christopher Lincoln, and AlwaysFree.

Andi and Jimmy Valentine's brother

Andi (photo above on right) of http://www.andisworld.typepad.com/ (great blog, check it out) stopped by to chat with us as she had a few weeks back. She's a military wife and wrote many kind words about us on her blog following our last meeting. Unfortunately, she was back this night because her husband was in Walter Reed Hospital for some surgery. I don't believe it was related to any combat, but Jimmy Valentine's brother may know for sure. At any rate, we told Andi to pass along our best wishes and prayers for her husband's speedy recovery. Our understanding was that he would be going home the next day.

As has been common for weeks now, we are getting many more honks of support from passing motorists than the Pinkos are getting. Moreover, their presence is so sparse, their messages so muddled, that any honks for them are hard to interpret. Is the motorist supporting the Pinkos' "Save Walter Reed" sign? If so, that has nothing to do with the real purpose of the Pinkos' fraudulent efforts as they mask the troop-hating America-hating agenda of the traitors masquerading as peace protestors. Unfortunately for the Pinkos, FReepers have ripped the masks off the Pinkos' disguises and exposed their fraudulent blood dance for all the world to see.

Doctor Raoul, Gadsdenman, lurker Joan, and Albion Wilde

After a fourth Pinko, at right, arrived way late.

Pinko at right gestures with full arm high. We couldn't hear her,
but I'm guessing that she was saying, "I trusted you to handle this
protest and this pathetic turnout is the best you can do!"

Blue Pony-tail Guy apparently desperately calls for reinforcements.*

After the call shown in the left photo, this Pinko withdrew from
the others for an extended phone conversation. This left only
3 protestors actually protesting for the longest time. Maybe
she didn't want the others to hear her describe the disaster that
the Pinkos were experiencing.*

Following the two phone calls shown in the photos above, we wondered whether the Pinkos would rush in reinforcements. Although there was less than 40 minutes left before their 10 pm quitting time, they had brought in numerous late arrivers a few weeks back under similar circumstances. Instead, only a single Pinko showed up following the phone calls. That Pinko showed up 10 minutes before quitting time, giving them a total of 5 troop-haters for all of ten minutes. Then, with one minute to go before 10 pm, they got some pedestrian to hold a sign for less than a minute. It was so sad.

Pinkos at full "strength"*

The Pinkos provided a pathetic performance, even apart from the fundamentally evil nature of demonstrating at a hospital of war-wounded simply to tell the war-wounded that their sacrifice was for nothing. Moreover, on this night, they didn't even pretend to be protesting the fact that Walter Reed admits new war-wounded patients at night, instead of during the day. That is their pretense for holding their continuing obscene blood dance at the hospital, instead of at the White House or Congress, where policy decision makers are. The Pinkos outside Walter Reed still pretend that they support the troops, but few, if any, troops are buying it. After all, the Pinko web site still calls our troops "killers." Plus, FReepers are on scene making sure that troops know the truth about the Pinkos.

We absolutely must keep the pressure on Code Pink and keep showing the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed that Code Pink doesn't speak for the nation. If you live in the DC area and haven't yet come out for one of these FReeps, please do so this next Friday. Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.

If we can sufficiently outnumber the leftists often enough, embarrassment may cause the leftists to stop these outrageous morale-damaging ("Maimed for a lie" is one of their commonly-used signs) demonstrations at the hospital. What about you? Can you spare a few hours on a Friday night?

Can you give up next Friday night at the movies to support troops who've given up limbs for your freedoms? Will you?

This FReep is rewarding, fun and important for our troops and our nation.

Good stuff!

I wish I could make it. Getting back for work saturday morning in Fallujah would be tough.

About the "no wood" rule -- have you ever used extra poster board rolled into a tube? Would they consider that a "hard object"?

I not sure, but I doubt that rolled poster board would be considered a "hard object."

Sorry, if I grossed you out with that photo, but that leftist's outfit is representative of the people that we oppose.

The visiting FReeper doesn't arrive 'til Saturday. He may come to join us on the following Friday.

We will probably leave the area (i.e., general vicinity of where we've met you before) by 3 to 3:15 pm.

If there is no chance of getting a sitter (or having someone leave work early) such that you can't come with us that early, let me know if you want me to FReepmail you with directions.

Not much chance of getting away early... I will think about Metro.

(I think I heard you say it is near the recruiting office)

I could walk to the first area and catch up with you there or drive all the way in and follow Georgia Avenue, I think. We'll see what tomorrow night brings. I will try to get there!

i have no sign, but will bring my video camera for as long as the battery lasts... would you recommend driving all the way in or taking the metro...

i will be coming from the eastern shore and route 50... was thinking about wearing pink to infiltrate the commies for some fun footage... but will respect their space... limited battery life.
