That shut up these idiots (temporarily) that keep blaming Iraq and 'us' for the terrorist attacks. Blair said they started at least 10 years ago. The point to be made about the Iraq invasion (and subsequent silly attempts at democratization) is NOT that it's causing these attacks, but that it was/is a waste of blood and treasure at best and is counter productive at worst.

I know most Muslims aren't evil or fanatical. The problem is, they've got this large underclass of (mostly) angry young men whom they can't control. Somehow these people have become the West's responsibility.

As another poster keenly stated a few days ago: A radical muslim wants to kill you. A moderate muslim merely wants to see you dead.
It is an article of their belief system that we convert or die. They are allowed to lie to you in the mean time.

Yep. And some of the posts and posters/spammers on these threads sound just as ridiculous as the fool reporters themselves, just the other end of the spectrum.

Where is the US Embassy in London related to these subway incidents? and 10 Downing? Something tells me "something else" is going on. Did the Embassy close two weeks ago?

John Howard is speaking but saying nothing just as Blair did - looks like they have their big girl pants on todaySo, knee-jerk rhetoric is what impresses you. Doesn't do much for me.

Exactly. It's truly silly and makes FR look like a fringe group.

I don't recall them closing the U.S. Embassy in London on 7/7.

The blasts were minor, but it is a major incident for the disruption it caused...and they still are trying to find people it sounds like. I would think we would know by now if it was bio, but I can't say that for sure.

I would agree that if facts are knowable, it would be helpful to know them. However, political leadership thru public statements is altogether a different matter. Have you ever noticed that they don't make cheerleaders or waterboys into head football coaches?
To: Lazamataz
Good. I heard talk on another thread to the effect that you had, um, gone away for a brief while. Glad it was unfounded.

I think Embassy closing is purely precautionary as this point.
All four explosion locations now secure, no suspicious chemical traces according to the BBC.
