New thread time
What's Roberts' prolife rating? I'm looking for statements from Right to Life, etc.
Also...
anyone got a Fox News web feed?
May I have this dance?
I am one who bashes the President pretty good when he needs it; gives him credit when he deserves it.
Glad I did not underestimate him and sell him short.
A 50 years old as a conservative on the top bench. Wow. The dude, if he takes his vitamins and exercises each day...could give liberals palpitations for the next 30 years (I hope). Let's hope he stays the course. One more conservative nominee, in his or her 50s, and we have this sucker locked up for a long time indeed.
BOR should be pushed off, PERIOD.
I second that motion.(Bush happy dance gif)
Libs on New England cable news network talkin..
"No smoking Gun" on Roberts, will make "filibuster very difficult".
The host seems very depressed.
It is a good day.
I only watch O'R based on the guest he has on...
Your senator is full of it.
U.S. President George W. Bush confers with Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) during a breakfast meeting with bipartisan members of the Senate July 12, 2005. A bipartisan group of U.S. senators who crafted a compromise on judicial nominees two months ago said President Bush's talks with both parties for his first nomination to the Supreme Court may help avert a divisive confirmation battle. Just stopped at DU and they are crying the blues! Bwahahahahah! Everything from civil rights to separation of church and state. It's nuts! They all should go to hell! Wait a minute....they're in it!
LOL!
LOL! It's a fast moving thread and the posts are getting way up there ... probably no one noticed and I won't say anything.
Thanks for posting his "states rights" comment.
That really SEALS THE DEAL for me.
That right Zu Zu
Brit Hume now reporting live FNC. Carl Cameron now reporting John Roberts had dinner with President and First Lady. Said the decision wasn't made until this morning. Was almost final last night. Made the call at something like 12:55 today. "Jumps off the page in terms of character". He clerked for Rehnquist before Rehnquist was on the Supreme Court. In 1992, the nomination was made of Roberts to Appeals court by President GHW Bush but when Clinton took office his name was dropped and nothing went anywhere. Career service to President Reagan and to President Bush I. Kennedy criticized him for his opposition to abortion rights. Strict constructionist. Conservatives consider him not just a solid choice but a very very good choice.
Post those screen pics when they come up. I'll going try to channel C-Span:

Yes, it is. We needed this bad. Now... get ready for the libs to have a conniption.
In that photo, Roberts looks like David Janssen.
NARAL already stating Roberts is unacceptable.
