Thanks for starting the new thread.
Well geeze and all this time I thought it would be Michael "One nation under God" Neudow.

"First nominated for the bench in 1992 by President George H.W. Bush, Roberts was never given a hearing nor confirmed by the Democratic-controlled Senate. He was nominated by the current President Bush in 2001, but the nomination again died. Bush renominated him in January 2003 and the Senate confirmed his nomination May 8, 2003, by voice vote." Gads, this just keeps getting better and better......
To: over3Owithabrain; Mister Baredog
I'll throw in a mea culpa too. I'm elated at this pick and hope and pray Bush fights for him.

Anyone know who vetted John Roberts for President Bush back in 2003 when he was nominated to the DC Circuit Court?... Any guesses?

Tonight reminds me of the end of that movie, Mars Attacks!, when the good guys cue up Slim Whitman's version of the Indian Love Call to blow away the Martians. 43 just did the judicial version.

how hard does W (and especially the GOP Senate) fight? That's where the rubber meets the roadThe problem is, you see, that Dubya is a strict constructionist too. That means that he nominates, and the senate confirms. He should not be out campaigning for his pick, he already indicated his full support when he nominated him.
It's up to the senate now.

Olbermann sticking to the script.......

Try 35+ years. He's only 50 years old, and in 35 years I'm sure the average age will be over 80.
