New thread time
:-) ... blush...
MSNBC just had live footage of Judge Roberts returning home after leaving the White House.
He has LITTLE children! I'd say the little girl I saw is about 7 or 8. (Nice house, too!)
I'm from Michigan, near Toledo & have a Toledo-Cleveland-type accent, or so I've been told.
While on the Indiana turnpike last week the toll taker had a very Southern Indiana accent. Cracked us up. My husband knew 'cause his grandma was from down there.
How did Reagan get through college?
No, I was contrasting him to John Edwards. I was saying he WON'T do what John Edwards did -- i.e. remind us of it a million times.
rotflmPo ? If that is the P I'm thinking of...you need to put some ice on that. Or get some super glue...
frankly gave me the piss shivers just thinking about it.
:-)
Heh! Far Far left, in a galaxy far, far away....
Since the dems have their panties all in a twist now, shouldn't the president go ahead and recess appoint Bolton during the August recess?
LOL. We are getting off topic, but New Englanders tend to drop their "r's" because the Puritans who settled the place (Hahvahd Yahd = Harvard Yard), tended to be Cromwell types, and the locus of support for Cromwell was in East Anglica (around Cambridge), in England, and they don't pronounce their "r's" there. Whole congregations moved from East Anglica to New England.
(hugs) even manly ones...
Thank you for respecting a fellow FReeper's report.
LOL Grew up in Cleveland live in Indiana, we don't have an accent! ;)
:-) I'll pray for W to nominate her down the road a bit.
That has to be unprecedented...nominating four SCJ.
Yelp! Common Sense Conservative.....From corn fields to steel mills.
LOL! A good number of Mr.FF's college friends, many of whom are still very good friends, are more conservative than I am (we drive him nutz that way). One looks more like a hippe now that he's nearing 60, than he did in 1968! A bunch of them went to Woodstock, and one guy in that group has always been heavily into classical music and just went for a lark. Point being, you never know how people think until you get to know them.
Wow! Good point! Pile 'em up!
...don't you think W had Karl make Clarence and Antonin take the boy into a dark room with a single lightbulb and work him over to make sure he had the right stuff??? G'itmo pales in comparison.
Dubya knows what happened with Souter.
I want the Republican Senators and Dick Cheney to be present for the first vote for cloture and if it fails, to immediately move to invoke the constitutional option for all judicial and other Presidential appointments.
No fiddling around for several days hand-wringing and trying to make deals. That's already been done. It's now time to move forward.
Ha!
Pound..... sand, DUmmy!
