Senator Barbara Boxer appearing on Fox News this afternoon was asked about the 'Gang of Seven' deal not to Filibuster nominees unless it is Extra-ordinary circumstances; declared that "with the right to privacy and Roe v Wade on the table this is an Extra-ordinary circumstance and the Filibuster is on the table".
Well people they just moved the goal posts.
Clear the decks and open the microphones. Give the Dimwits 24/7 coverage, and watch them self-destruct. Popcorn at the ready; this is going to get good, quick.
Too harsh. He is faced with a unique situation with a minority willing to destroy the Senate and the country to get their way. He tried to work it out bloodlessly until he realized that was impossible. He was ready to pull the trigger last time when the rug was pulled from under him by the seditious seven.
There are no fig leaf now for the "moderates". It is ready, aim, fire and he will.
Where will they stand now?
Your screen name is apropo for what the agreement was in the 1st place.
Big Surprise here??
The Dems are digging in on Roe v Wade as though they were the Russians digging in at Stalingrad.
Why the hell then did moronic Republicans courtesy Green-Light Clinton's rabid pro-abortion SC candidates (Breyer, Bader-Ginsberg) when there will NEVER be any reciprocity toward pro-life SC candidates??
And who was the Dem who called this a "war"??
D@mn right -- it is. Dubya and the GOP had better recognize that declaration and shove rabid pro-lifers up the Dems' wazoo. F'em.
"Where will they stand now?"
After O'Connor resigned, Warner said the nuclear option is still on the table. Graham said he will support a rule change if needed. McCain said the nominee will get up or down vote. I've heard nothing from DeWine.
Correct. Just another, "It depends on what the meaning of "is" is."
This si suprising how?
That was then, what will McVain say when the chips are down...I trust him as far as I can throw him. And that ain't very far.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my senator -- DeWine -- FOR NOTHING!! You no-good RINO sellout (along with that weeping girlie-man, RINOvich)!
Babs is a shrill shill. I'd start to get worried if she was neutral toward anyone to the right of Ginsberg.
The goal posts are in the same place they have been throughout Bush's Presidency.
No, it takes 60 affirmative votes to invoke cloture.
When do they go up for re-election? Maybe you should try to infiltrate the Democratic race with a conservative Zell Miller-like DINO and turn the tables by fooling people? (a conservative Democrat vs. a liberal Republican)
I tell ya, those Democrats have lost all guile.
Lord, God,
could you PLEASE, Boxerface right into oblivion from public life?
Making her as silent in public life
as all the murdered infants she likes to multiply are silent in public life, would be wonderful.
Likewise, if the Constitutional Option is brought in, a 49-48 vote for closure would keep the filibuster going?
I dunno....Al Franken does it for me, but she's definitely up there in the top 5.
I think that's a good start.
Both orifi stink to low hell.
Their output is exceedingly similar if not identical.
I wonder what meds she takes at night to be able to sleep with herself.
All right, we waste 'em. 'No offense'...
Why is it considered wrong and in bad form to question a state circuit judge, like the one down in Florida, one George Greer, who sided with Michael Schiavo in that tragic case. Indeed liberals, who usually side with federal intervention in such cases as Roe vs. Wade and civil rights for blacks, are suddenly advocates of federalism, or the system of states' rights.
Why is it wrong to call for judge Greer's impeachment but not wrong to practice what I like to call selective impeachment, that is, having a pro-abortion litmus test to simply dismiss any prospective judicial nominee who is not liberal enough?
