I've been trying to keep up all day. I finish reading, then, boom, another hundred posts. What do you do? What do you do?
Wait until 9:00 Eastern when the President says what he has to say!

Wow! Jones lasted much shorter than Clement!

Very slick of WH to 'leak' the Edith(s) name(s). After that, the Conservatives are collectively relieved and there is less initial backbiting. And the Rat / MSM cabal begins attack mode in off hours. No time for Kennedy et.al. to begin the 10:00 pm press conferences. They have to make 'em 10:00 am when no one's watching.
Either way Kennedy is blitzed (pm) or sobering up (am) and ineffective.
All hail Karl Rove.

You're the spitting image of Spartacus.

We will have the opportunity to discuss the President's domestic agenda at some other time - please let's drop it this thread. I'm glad you agree about the foreign affairs front. FReepers can disagree and still be FRiends. Let's leave it this way for now.

Think about it ... he's a lawyer, a good conservative, was a prosecutor (wasn't that sKerry's only "real" job?) and he is in a similar position now as was Cheney when GWB was looking for a Veep. The huge plus factor is that he's a former colleague of most of the Senators and he will give as good as he gets in any confirmation hearing.

How about John G. Roberts, named by the National Law Journal in 1999 as one of the top 10 civil litigators in Washington,
argued in 1992 before the Supreme Court against using a federal civil rights law to stop Operation Rescue protests outside abortion facilities. I pray this is so.

FYI,
What Roe v. Wade Should Have Said
New Book
JB
My new book, What Roe v. Wade Should Have Said, has just been published by New York University Press. (You can buy the book here and here). I asked a group of eleven scholars to rewrite the opinions in Roe v. Wade and its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, using only materials available as of January 1973 when the cases were decided. The contributors included Anita Allen ( Penn), Akhil Amar (Yale), Teresa Stanton Collett (St. Thomas), Michael Stokes Paulsen (Minnesota), Jeffrey Rosen (George Washington University), Jed Rubenfeld (Yale), Reva Siegel (Yale), Cass Sunstein (Chicago), Mark Tushnet (Georgetown), and Robin West (Georgetown).

Unfortunate on her part. They took away the recipe, though. So it shouldn't come back to haunt her.

Check here: Maybe I should have used quotation marks. :)
...or maybe it would be a real confirmation if Rove said that he had heard it too.
