I just think it's funny that O'Connor (and probably Rehnquist) held out until President Bush was RE-elected (not selected) by such a nice margin, and now the leftists have to decide if they can hold out for another THREE YEARS and MAYBE get a Dem back in the WH! I don't think Stevens can last that long.

Whoever he picks, I am behind the pick. The worst possible situation would be to allow the insurgents (aka Democrats) smell a whiff of victory at this point. At the most, I would be less excited about some picks, but O'Connor was such a flake that I am sure we will see an imporvement with any of the trial picks.
