They're saying it's clearly coordinated, and Tony Blair said terrorism. The commentators are sying they will be shocked if it's NOT tied to Al Queda. Pres. Bush will speak soon.

Bush:
expressed condolences to the people of London. Appreciate Blair's determination and strength. Been in contact with Homeland Security...be extra vigilant as our folks start heading to work. What's taken place here (G8) and in London...contrast couldn't be clearer between the intentions and the hearts of those [working to better the world] and those who kill. We will find and bring to justice...spread ideology of hope....

Well so far it is BUT Ever think sometimes that the minutes, hours and days are getting longer and longer and time just seems to be slowing to a standstill? Well, according to Dr. Joseph R. Kopeski, (by way of the Weekly World News) that wasnt just a side-effect of a long work week, a dull school lecture, or a broadcast of the Academy Awards. No! said Joe, "The fact is, we are slowing down. Yes, the whole darn planet!" And unless something could be done to give our cosmic rip cord a good yank, the home worlds rotation was just gonna keep tapering off until we stopped dead as a UPN sitcom. Not that the majority would have to worry about the results of that terrible terminus. The good news, according to Dr. Joe, was that what with all the floods, fires, earthquakes, assorted other earth changes and mass starvation that would happen in the interim, most of us would'a been long dead by the time the Jan. deadline rolled around...Well, damn, blink and ya' miss it.

No confirmation, yet. Of course, Al-Qaeda has been mentioned as a possibility. Who knows. London has a couple of mosques that have been hotbeds of millitant speech and recruitment for militant moonbats. Sctland Yard is already scouring the scenes of the bombings.

Which reminds of a word to everybody: most every electrical convenience over here is powered by 220 volt, and not good ol' 100 volts. Sarge already lost a set of speakers and a power strip. If anyone is sending stuff to loved ones in theater, one might take that into consideration. Those converters from the States don't work here for some reason. Even the ones that clearly indicate that they're for the Middle East. Transformers will work in most cases, though.
If you have any Haji shops on base, they tend to have those little converter thingies real cheap if your appliance is a dual conversion one. The PX carries them sometimes, too.
Hope this helps.

Well, the terrorists did succeed in p*ssing-off the Brits. Not a good thing to do.

We don't have Hadji-Mart out here. The PX does carry the transformers, though - at $50 a pop.
Lots of converter plugs. And Sarge's laptop has a built-in transformer that can handle 220v. Thanks, Lil' Bro!

Also, the Iraqis can get you a transformer on the streets for about 10 to 15 bucks. And they work fine.
AAFES can be such a rip-off sometimes. It's not like we can "shop and compare" here...HAHA
Take care and stay safe!
