Senator Lindsey Graham made it very clear on the Hannity radio show today. If some conservatives thought he would get wobbly in the Supreme Court battle, that fear should now be abated.
Graham will support the Constitutional option if the DemocRATS try to filibuster a qualified candidate because of ideology.
Graham noted that it was not done with Scalia or Ginsberg. It has never been done that way.
He further noted that the President, who was elected twice, made it clear that he most respects Scalia and Clarence Thomas. That is the type of pick Graham expects.
I was listening too and you're right.
RINOcrats will not stand for it, and the republicans don't have the spine for it. We will probably end up with Chief Justice Bill Clinton before this is all over!
This guy Graham who is obviously in love with himself and is always happy to share himself with the rabble is like Dick Turbin - the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And they had a friendly discussion over that matter because Lindsey didn't yet know of Schumer's previous call. I don't think he was very happy to hear about it. That call was a huge mistake by Schumer.

Getting too excited when nothing bad really happens will lead to heart attacks.

Some people want bad things to happen so they can say they were right. The DemocRATS want this nation to fail so they can say the wrong man is in the White House. My prediction stands. Graham is going to be a warrior in this battle.

I'll believe Senator Graham cracker when he reacts positively to something conservative.
I'm sure he caught lots of heat over his major error of supporting the RINO'S sell out of the conservative wing of the party.
He's probably wanting to kiss and make up by sounding tough.
How typical. Even after Graham knows Schumer has no respect for Graham, the Gang of 14, and plans to obstruct the nomination process, Graham still blithely trusts Schumer on another issue. Don't you just wanna slap the stuffings outta someone that naive?
My goodness. Our party controls the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. We are about to get a solid 5-4 conservative lock on the Supreme Court. There is so much anger on this thread, that it sounds like it is coming from the losers. Folks, it is going to be okay. Really.

Are you saying there is a good chance Bush will get (to try?) to appoint three or four justices?
No wonder the far left is going nuts. The reality of losing the Presidency, and losing the Senate is sinking in.
So even if they fail to block appointments, which I expect will happen, they have to look like they put up a hard fight, to keep their crazy constituents happy.
Not that they ever get "happy."
The timing is due to the backlash he experienced on his role in the compromise. He underestimated his constituency and he now knows that.
That he apparently had a cordial telephone conversation with Schumer is irrelevant. :-)
Maybe the issue was actually something that was truly bipartisan, and they could actually work together. I don't like working with the bastards, but sometimes we actually have to do so.
What is required are some Dark Side Republicans.

This is the judicial and cultural battle of our lifetimes and kids' lifetimes. We have a chance to get a 6-3 court. I'd love 7-2, but I'll take 6-3.

I hope that Graham is being straight with us.
I missed it, but I will take him at his word (and your interpretation, of course LOL!).
Maybe he learned he had better dance with the one that brought him on the issue of SCOTUS.
