Lindsey Graham issues warning to DemocRATS on Hannity show
Hannity show | 7-6-05 | dfu

Senator Lindsey Graham made it very clear on the Hannity radio show today. If some conservatives thought he would get wobbly in the Supreme Court battle, that fear should now be abated.

Graham will support the Constitutional option if the DemocRATS try to filibuster a qualified candidate because of ideology.

Graham noted that it was not done with Scalia or Ginsberg. It has never been done that way.

He further noted that the President, who was elected twice, made it clear that he most respects Scalia and Clarence Thomas. That is the type of pick Graham expects.

"Trust,...but verify."

The "formerly" distinguished Senator from the Palmetto State is making up for lost political clout within in the last month.

You take Chuckie and Ted to the matte and you'll do us proud. You GO, Mrs. Doubtfire!

Weasel, or was he just taking a "moderate" public tone?. You remember how Teddy Roosevelt put it. I have a feeling that the Republicans have maintained their dignity while the DemocRATS are making public asses of themselves. When the time comes to act, the DemocRATS are going to get a hot poker you know where.

If I heard the conversation correctly, Graham intimated that "only filibusters for ideological reasons would constitute using the nuclear option". (paraphrased) If that's is true, then are filibusters for other reasons OK?

What a bunch of cr@p.

Graham and the other spineless RINO's will fold like the proverbial cheap deck of cards once their Dim buddies start running rough-shod over them.

The nuclear option is out; this current bunch of Pubbies won't even pull together long enough to get the President's nominees out of committee, much less to get them an honest vote.

The other reason would be criminal activity.

We elected a Republican majority to carry out conservative ideals. Anyone claiming to be a moderate is a weasel looking to keep power, or not a true conservative.

That's what confused me too. Up to that last minute, I was thinking that this sounded like the old version of Graham. But then that very last bit of conversation caught my ear. I even said: "That b*stard!" when I heard him squeeze it in.

Unfortunately, we are from S.C. and voted for Graham only because he was our only REPUBLICAN (albeit RINO)choice. I knew from the start that he was a "clone" of McLame. Trust me, he has heard from us as well as a LOT OF South Carolinians! We have also been in touch with the State Party about who we can run against him in '08.

No, during other nomination fights, they had the majority and could keep the nominee in committee, slow the process, call endless witnesses, etc.

Make no mistake, Senator Graham "got his mind right" by the unrelenting pressure from conservatives. Let this be a testament to the power of our voice and the groundswell of outrage.

Congrats to all FREEPERS - I LOVE YOU GUYS.....(in a bud-light kind of way- don't get any ideas) ;>)) !!!

It is easy for us to sit here and shoot off our mouths. Unfortunately, our representatives don't always do what we want. They represent more than just FreeRepublic.

Instead of shooting off our mouths, let's see what happens. Then we can put people's feet to the fire.

Do you remember how George Bush sat back and took it easy during the Florida recount? He actually went to be early. The other side was going publicly insane. Behind the scene, our side was quietly doing what it needed to do. I spoke with Speaker Foley's office in Florida. Had the Supreme Court not done the right thing, he was prepared to call an emergency session of the state legislature. Both houses being controlled by Republicans, they would have voted to give the electors to Bush.

Behind the scenes, perhaps our guys are planning for the battle and will actually win it without following our battle plan. For some of the most rapid FReepers, the nuclear option would be actually detonating a tiny nuke in a building full of DemocRATS.

Let's see the battle play out and not go publicly insane like the DemocRATS.

"Indeed, maybe that foolish Schumer cell call was the final nail in the coffin. Hannity mentioned the call but I missed what Graham said because I was on the phone."

Graham said it was about something unrelated to appointments.
