This will be happening all over the country now. Something needs to be done and quickly war on the middle class has just been declared. I suggest that everyone put there homes up for sale, don't have to sell, but is millions of homes when on the market I think our rulers would get the message that we are very unhappy about this.

Putting your house up for sale won't stop this, legislation at the state level to seveerly limit eminient domain will stop this call your STATE representatives and tell em your voting em out if they don't fix this.

Thanks for this information. Please post any follow-up if it comes through. This stuff is going to everyone on my mailing list. I've also written all my representatives at the local, state and federal level, and my local reporters -- asking them to keep the heat on this issue.

We have to keep the momentum going to let our fellow citizens know what their elected and unelected thieves are doing.

People need to take a stand instead of rolling over for the government. They need to refuse to leave their property and the rest of us need to stand WITH them.

Matter of fact and law, in Texas you can defend property with deadly force.

All that would do is devalue your own real estate.

You really think most Americans even give a damn? Not to worry, this is just the way it will be from now on. May as well get used to it.

There's a fair amount of activism in my area, you see when they decided to label it the Adirondack Park and demo a slew of houses to make a highway folks got mad, and have only gotten madder watching the state ignore special park laws which they now have to follow when building or modifying their own property.

I can't believe we have come to this in the United States.

I can't believe this situation made it to the Supreme Court....quite an indicator that our court system sucks all the way up the line.

No wonder the libs want to ban .50 cal rifles. (Rumor has it that they work wonders on bulldozer engines...)

Let us hope that our legislators straighten this mess out -- before the above is demonstrated by some citizen who has just lost "the old home place"...

They need to refuse to leave their property and the rest of us need to stand WITH them.

The government will have no compunction to surrounding and murdering any who do not comply. What's required here is civil protest on a massive scale. They HAVE to get the message this time. Otherwise the two parties will simply divide and conquer and encourage apathy.

"legislation at the state level to seveerly limit eminient domain will stop this call your STATE representatives and tell em your voting em out if they don't fix this."

How is legislation at the state level going to do anything? Cannot the crooked local govt simply sue in Federal Court and overrule any legislation?

Yep. And how do we expect to export freedom to other nations when we're losing ours here at home?

The Adirondak Park was created to protect the New York City watershed ~ but without fully compensating the citizenry who were adversely affected.

You guys should have started catching stray New Yorkers and holding them in deep animal pits as hostages until the City relented and paid you a fair price. Short of that I really don't know how to get a New Yorker's attention.

It's always been tough up there.
