The Adirondak Park was created to protect the New York City watershed ~ but without fully compensating the citizenry who were adversely affected.

You guys should have started catching stray New Yorkers and holding them in deep animal pits as hostages until the City relented and paid you a fair price. Short of that I really don't know how to get a New Yorker's attention.

It's always been tough up there.

Part of it was a bunch of enviro weenies also, there's ridiculous 'fire safety' laws also. A lot of the water still comes from the Catskills.
