Federal officials believe they have broken up an al Qaeda terror cell operating in Lodi and have arrested two men and detained two others as part of a wide-ranging investigation, authorities said Tuesday. One of the men arrested, 22-year-old Hamid Hayat, is accused in a federal criminal complaint of training in an al Qaeda camp in Pakistan to learn how to kill Americans and then lying to FBI agents about it. His training included explosives and weapons instruction and using photographs of President Bush as targets, court documents indicate.

Even if I was to concede that point to be correct, which it isn't... The next attack, and the next incident, and the next smoldering heap after that, and the 1000-year pit of radiation after that will not be the result of people on airplanes, I am more than certain to bet you.
On second thought, forget that bet. I wouldn't want to benefit from such circumstances.
I think we are being or "have been" infiltrated with islamic terrorists.
And the father...who was also arrested drives an ICE CREAM TRUCK............recall the article by some prof today on contaminating the US milk supplies.
Thank you for the link to the Jihad in America threads,
I see that I missed reading some of them.
Ping.
Do take a look at Ernests link to Jihad in America in
post #20.
I had missed several of them.
Damn, I didn't think about that. I wonder if the FBI is testing their ice cream supplies for contamination.
I doubt they were targeting small town America. I have family in Lodi and only live about 30 minutes down the highway from it myself, and I can't think of a single target in the town that would be worth their effort.
On the other hand, Sacramento is a short 30 minutes north of there, and San Francisco can be reached in two short hours. The town also gives them ready access to a huge food producing region and lies less than 45 minutes from the California Aqueduct intakes that provide water to much of the LA basin.
They probably weren't targeting Lodi, but they undoubtably saw it as a good place to launch attacks from.
Is it my imagination or do these guys all have Arab sounding names [sarcasm]?
I can't believe they're wasting time on this when there are narco-terrorists all over northern california growing an illegal substance for "medical" use.
Hook both of them up to the electrodes and turn on the juice!
In my book, they are "illegal combatants" just like the WWII Germans attempting to land from sea on the East Coast.
------>
That sounds right to me.
Didn't you send your resume to this guy? :-p
Hamid Hayat recently returned to California from Pakistan. After first denying any link to terrorist camps, Hayat reportedly told agents that he attended Al Qaeda camps in 2003 and 2004.
"Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his jihadi mission," according to the affidavit. "Potential targets for attack would include hospitals and large food stores."
FBI agents raided the Hayat home on Tuesday, family members told the Times. They seized videocassettes, photographs, fax machines, prayer books and other items.
Two other men, Shabbir Ahmed and Mohammed Adil KHAN, were being held on immigration violations after meeting separately with Umer Hayat on Saturday, the Bee reported. All four men live in Lodi, about 40 miles south of Sacramento. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,158880,00.html
I wonder if al-Libi fingered them.
Knowing the Muslim scum, they probably write their attack plans in their religious books, so they can get the NYT and ACLU to have the vapors when we seize their Korans and prayer books. They really have our left pegged.
I was just over there in Manteca a few weeks ago..
Uh oh, better check Winslow, Arizona...
I don't see how's that relevant. Even terrorists have personal lives! [biting lip]
A koranimal day school?
