END OF THE ROAD FOR DEAN? - OH I HOPE NOT
Howard Dean has been polarizing and controversial since his failed bid for the Democrat nomination. Now as DNC chair, his histrionics and poor leadership are causing prominent politicians and supporters to either distance themselves from Dean through statement or deed. Recently, John Edwards said that Dean "is not the spokesman for the party." Joe Biden chimed in with, Dean "doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats,"... Now New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has joined the chorus with this statement about Dean. "He's not the spokesman for the party. It's governors, it's senators, it's party leaders." Uh Bill, Dean is a party leader.
Dean is alienating those groups that have been strongly Democratic. Hispanics are now gravitating to the Republican Party and he is taking Black America for granted. Hip Hopper Russell Simmonns had this to say after he met in Washington yesterday with Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, but not with Democratic Party chief Howard Dean. "When it comes to reaching out to poor people and minorities, I think there's no enthusiasm on Howard's part, while Ken shows a real willingness to listen," ... Way to go Ken. And who can forget this gem from Dean, "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here."
The thing that is most likely to condemn Dean is his inability to raise funds. This is the life blood of a party and he is failing. This is a bit of a surprise because he did pretty well during the campaign. Now, he has three top fundraisers jumping ship. At the end of April the Democrats had raised $18.6 million while the Republicans have brought in $42.6 million. This does not bode well for Dean.
Dems, please keep Dean as DNC chair. He may do more for the Republican party than anyone.
Nah.....the thought of Hitlery with another woman is as revolting as the thought of Hitlery with anything other than another shark.....
I don't know, it's apparently part of Hillary's secret plan to get into the WH again.
I agree. The Democratic Crime Syndicate is headed straight for history's ash heap.
What will happen is that Dean will moderate his approach (never his politics) after a bit of chiding. We need not convince Biden or Edwards to keep him. He will stay. They need his energy, and they need to keep paying Soros back through Dean.
I'm not sure it makes a difference. Most democrat leaders talk much like Dean and there isn't much outrage other than on Free Republic and with other conservative outlets.
Democrats can pretty much say anything they want and get away with it. At this point, it's just funny and rediculous watching them try to recycle and morph thier regular bag of inflamitory comments.
At some point, it has to become obvious to Mr. Common Joe middle America that these people are not interested in solving problems but would rather act like big babies.
Naturally every bit helps, but since Democrats have NEVER caused anything but harm to blacks, 89% in support of that cause sounds like a death wish.
Pray for W and Our Troops
The Democrats are nut cases and they should have a nut case as a leader. Howard Dean is them and they are Howard Dean.
Sit back relax and enjoy the fireworks!
We're on the hit parade again. DUmmies fighting about Dean and quoting us.

27. Yeah, well I'm an "old" poster and I am pi$$ed off at Dean
You're implying that the poster you responded to is a freeper. That's funny, since the freepers are applauding Dean's foot-in-mouth stupidity:

I prefer to think of them as demonrats.
You got that right.
A very important axiom of politics is that when your opponent is destroying him/her self you should be quiet and let him or her do it.
Ixna on the eanda is a oronma!
Good point. Couldn't help myself. Dean is so easy to make fun of.
best to you, ampu
