I don't know, it's apparently part of Hillary's secret plan to get into the WH again.

What will happen is that Dean will moderate his approach (never his politics) after a bit of chiding. We need not convince Biden or Edwards to keep him. He will stay. They need his energy, and they need to keep paying Soros back through Dean.

I'm not sure it makes a difference. Most democrat leaders talk much like Dean and there isn't much outrage other than on Free Republic and with other conservative outlets.
Democrats can pretty much say anything they want and get away with it. At this point, it's just funny and rediculous watching them try to recycle and morph thier regular bag of inflamitory comments.
At some point, it has to become obvious to Mr. Common Joe middle America that these people are not interested in solving problems but would rather act like big babies.

None right now. But Blacks voting for Bush went from 8% in 2000 to 11% in 2004. They are starting to see our values. Naturally every bit helps, but since Democrats have NEVER caused anything but harm to blacks, 89% in support of that cause sounds like a death wish.

Dean looks nutty from our view point, but not from the viewpoint of the nutcases that combine to form the existing Democratic Party ( the loose confederation of divergent interests that no one else would call a single party).
The Democrats are nut cases and they should have a nut case as a leader. Howard Dean is them and they are Howard Dean.
Sit back relax and enjoy the fireworks!

If he's allowed to stay on as Chairman much longer they could be cooked in '06, and I mean bigtime. Any talk of a 'nuclear option' could be just silly when we have 62 or so Senate seats.
I wonder what role, if any, Hillary had in allowing this guy to be in the position he is in.
Could their party be going through an intentional self destruction of sorts to clear the way for new 'leadership' and 'direction'? I think yes.

27. Yeah, well I'm an "old" poster and I am pi$$ed off at Dean
You're implying that the poster you responded to is a freeper. That's funny, since the freepers are applauding Dean's foot-in-mouth stupidity:

We need to convince the dems he is exactly what is needed to defeat the right.

You'll love this. DU has a post about us. I think we hit a nerve. I love it so.
The language over there on DUh is ridiculous. Reminds me of a bunch of eight-year-old boys who just discovered swearing.

A very important axiom of politics is that when your opponent is destroying him/her self you should be quiet and let him or her do it.

s2r, no, if they had a reasonable chairman, it would be good for the whole demo party. Dean however, was the most liberal candidate in 2004 on their side. He represents the extreme left wing of their party. He was allowed to ascend to the position of party chairman by those who have political power - including the clintons. I believe they are entirely focused on setting the stage for the hildabeast. entirely. that is how it works in dc. whenever he speaks, she looks more in the middle. she is taking trips to see our troops, claiming immigration as her topic, etc. All mainstream issues. ... so, I think it's certainly likely.
best to you, ampu
