END OF THE ROAD FOR DEAN? - OH I HOPE NOT
Howard Dean has been polarizing and controversial since his failed bid for the Democrat nomination. Now as DNC chair, his histrionics and poor leadership are causing prominent politicians and supporters to either distance themselves from Dean through statement or deed. Recently, John Edwards said that Dean "is not the spokesman for the party." Joe Biden chimed in with, Dean "doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats,"... Now New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has joined the chorus with this statement about Dean. "He's not the spokesman for the party. It's governors, it's senators, it's party leaders." Uh Bill, Dean is a party leader.
Dean is alienating those groups that have been strongly Democratic. Hispanics are now gravitating to the Republican Party and he is taking Black America for granted. Hip Hopper Russell Simmonns had this to say after he met in Washington yesterday with Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, but not with Democratic Party chief Howard Dean. "When it comes to reaching out to poor people and minorities, I think there's no enthusiasm on Howard's part, while Ken shows a real willingness to listen," ... Way to go Ken. And who can forget this gem from Dean, "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here."
The thing that is most likely to condemn Dean is his inability to raise funds. This is the life blood of a party and he is failing. This is a bit of a surprise because he did pretty well during the campaign. Now, he has three top fundraisers jumping ship. At the end of April the Democrats had raised $18.6 million while the Republicans have brought in $42.6 million. This does not bode well for Dean.
Dems, please keep Dean as DNC chair. He may do more for the Republican party than anyone.
Click on Federal Review for links that give more detail on quotes.
We need to convince the dems he is exactly what is needed to defeat the right.
So far, Dean has been the best thing for us.
I guess Dean is waiting for "Hillarycare" before he picks up his Meds, huh?
And now he's reportedly said that the GOP is a "white christian party" which was caught on tape. Kinda makes his "Dean Scream" into a whisper doesn't it? Too bad. He was the GOP's best thing going hurting the Dems.
Thanks for the link and yes he's nuts.
He's better than official Friday silliness thread because you don't have to wait till Friday for the jokes.
Yep. He's certifiable. Thanks for the link.
DIZZY DEAN
Keep up the good work as the real face of the demonut party.Always knew they thought it,glad to see him say it.
Run Hllary run, your girlfriend too acoording to the new book.
Further info? FReepmail me if you need to.
I'm not happy about Dean. He is there to make Hillary look moderate - and he is succeeding...
LOL!
Heard it on Rush Limbaugh`s program today. He wouldn`t elaborate but said it in so many words.
I think it is joe klein`s book (?)
Out of all the long winded, lying socialists that inhabit the dems, Dean is to me the most personally offensive. I know we need to take the high road as Conservative's but I do believe I would punch that SOB right in the mouth if I ever met him and say now you have a real reason to hate Republican's.
Man, I gotta get that book!
Bingo! Bingo ! We better start telling the sheep because it is working.
