A Second Temple Jewish house has been uncovered in Jerusalem's ancient City of David, Israel's Antiquities Authority announced Sunday.
The 2,000 year old private home, which archeologists believe was part of a complex of homes belonging to affluent people, was discovered during an excavation at the history-rich site last month.
Several rooms of the split-level house - as well as a ritual bath - were found at the compound, archeologist Tzvika Greenhaut who was charged with excavation at the site said.
The plot of land, located across from the Kidron Valley in the present day Arab neighborhood of Silwan, is owned by the right-wing Elad organization, which works to resettle Jews in east Jerusalem.
"We are talking about a house belonging to a very rich family," Greenhaut said, noting that the ruins were hewn into the rock in a very high standard.
The newly uncovered site will be open to the public, he said.

"Very close examination of the "genes" Israeli Jews, Israeli Arabs, and Palestinian Arabs hold in common as "markers" strongly suggest they are all the very same people, and different from those around them."
That's not true. Genetic studies confirm that populations from the Middle East, including Jewish people, are
related, just as one would expect to find in any geographical region, but not
identical or "all the very same people".

The Biblical account of the history of the Jewish people in the Middle East has extremely strong support in the genetic code. Abraham came from
Ur of the Chaldeas, which is modern Kurdish country, and the Jewish people are more
closely related to the Kurds than to the Arabs.
However, all Middle Eastern populations share a common genetic ancestor if you go back far enough, just as all human beings share a common genetic ancestor.

There's a difference between the Hebrews and the people we now identify as the "True Arabs".
Other groups have been accreted to the "True Arabs", of course, and in the end the Arab language, and a lot of Arab culture, was spread all over the place.
Then there are the Jews (as they became known after the Kingdom of Israel was divided and the Northern tribes "taken captive").
They founded colonies in various places ~ sometimes after having been conquered by others, or voluntarily ~ usually as trading ventures.
Since many people besides "True Arabs" speak Arabic, it's simply not the case that all speakers of Arabic are "True Arabs". In fact, Classical Arabic, which became a literary language of some note, is probably more Aramaic (a Jewish language) than it is Arabic in its origins. A recent thread here pointed to a modern analysis made of the Koran that suggests that it was originally a Syriac-Aramaic document, and is more properly read in Aramaic than in Arabic ~ you get quite different interpretations that way, too!
But, rolling things backward, in Abrahams time his people were undoubtedly Sumerian and didn't even speak a Semetic language. After a sojourn in the Levant, and then in Egypt, where the tribes acquired brides (Joseph and his brothers did that FUR SHUR), they became a semitic speaking group.
At some point it has always been argued they acquired more than their fair share of Armenoid characteristics from the Armenians, as well as more than their fair share of redheads with blue eyes from the Kurds (also called the Medes in the Bible).
The history of most of the present day population of Palestine is pretty much the same, and it's really ridiculous to argue that they just recently rode in from the desert. The DNA shows they didn't!

BTW, Jewish settlements in what you call the "North African Diaspora" were not short term things. Jewish settlements had been there since the days of Alexander the Great~@!
Alexandria had large numbers of Jews, as did Babylon and cities in Persia.
Am I supposed to say something about Pollard?
What does he have to do with genetic markers Jews, in general, share with Palestinians, in general?

Not sure you are disputing what I said. The critical genetic markers at issue show that both the Jews (in general, but not in every case of every individual) and today's modern Palestinian populations are very closely related to the Kurds (the ancient Medes), and not closely related to the Arabs.
I think this explains part of the "problem" of trying to live in the Levant over the last 4,000 or so years.
Many other Levantine groups only loosely identified as Caananites in more ancient times, share in the exact same origins.

There already are Palistinians living there. It is in Silwan, an Arab neighborhood in East Jerusalem. The Arabs there have trashed Jewish sites for decades.
There is a pool there that was believed to be part of a canal system feeding the ancient city of Jerusalem. It was filled with trash.
That area is now under excavation.

You are mistaken. Genetic markers (the Priesthood gene) show that Jews from all over the world, Eastern and Western are related. But I know of no study that has shown that Jews and Arabs have genetic markers in common. Most studies show that Jews have remained relatively genetically isolated from non-Jews.

No... Read the links I cited. The Palestinian Arabs are indistinguishable from other Arabs. Arabs have a very high genetic incidence of EU Haplotype 10, which is different from other Middle Eastern populations (Jewish, Aramaic, Kurdish, Turkish, Persian, etc.):
"In comparison with data available from other relevant populations in the region, Jews were found to be more closely related to groups in the north of the Fertile Crescent (Kurds, Turks, and Armenians) than to their Arab neighbors. The two haplogroups Eu 9 and Eu 10 constitute a major part of the Y chromosome pool in the analyzed sample. Our data suggest that Eu 9 originated in the northern part, and Eu 10 in the southern part of the Fertile Crescent. Genetic dating yielded estimates of the expansion of both haplogroups that cover the Neolithic period in the region. Palestinian Arabs and Bedouin differed from the other Middle Eastern populations studied here, mainly in specific high-frequency Eu 10 haplotypes not found in the non-Arab groups. These chromosomes might have been introduced through migrations from the Arabian Peninsula during the last two millennia."

Contrary to propaganda, Arabs are not descendents of Canaanites.
Arabs invaded and conquered other countries in a series of genocidal
jihads originating from
Arabia in the 7th Century C.E. See the historical timeline of Arab expansion through the Middle East:

Medieval Arab genealogists divided the Arabs into two groups:
* the "original Arabs" of
South Arabia, descending from Qahtan (identified with the biblical Joktan). The Qahtanites are said to have migrated the land of Yemen following the destruction of the Dam of Ma'rib (Sad Ma'rib). The Qahtanite Arabs were responsible for the ancient civilizations of Yemen including the biblically renowned Sheba (a descendent of Qahtan).
* The "Arabized Arabs" (musta`ribah) of
North Arabia, descending from Adnan, supposed to be a descendant of Ishmael through Kedar.
The Arabic language as it is spoken today in its classical Quranic form was the result of a
mix between the original Arabic tongue of Qahtan and the northern Arabic which borrowed from other northern Semitic languages from the Levant. See Qahtanite.
...
On its formation in 1946, the Arab League defined an "Arab" as follows:
"An Arab is a person whose language is Arabic, who lives in an Arabic speaking country, who is in sympathy with the aspirations of the Arabic speaking peoples."
