Note: Forgive this vanity, but this must be done. Kudos to the mod on duty for zapping the Tub-girl Troll early. I stayed put to see if he would post again. And true to form, he/she/it did at the same time as it normally does, which is between 0730-0800 hours CDT on weekdays. This probably means that it is posting them from the job, likely from the eastern time zone. Now, who was it? All information should be put out in the open post haste. cyborg, mhking, Darksheare, and I are tired of being the specific targets on this sub-human fecal matter. Lazamataz and Petronski also have taken notice. Let's get it out now.
*sniff* It hasn't targeted me. So what am I? Chopped liver???
She was paraphrasing the perp.
No, you're nully of the Dimensional Doors.
;-)
Uh Oh,be careful what you wish for!
It's not a pretty sight!
I personally have not seen it, but I support ya.
One problem is tactical. You have the right to post from the instant you sign on to FR as a newbie.
In my view, for whatever that's worth, a more desirable situation would be to allow newbies to only post in one limited area, if at all, for their first week or two.
That takes care of all but the sleepers, as well as makes sleeper accounts valuable enough that they don't just toss them away by doing obviously dumb things.
Same goes for private email...give newbies a two-week introduction period before they earn the right to use email...sort of like Driver's Ed for posters.
I don't see any reason why a recently created account or infrequent poster needs to be able to post images. By drawing them out and stringing along the process a bit, folks might be able to weed them out before they act.
I'm here in support of my FRiends on FR.
This perv needs punishment.
OK, I will trust you on that.
Regards.
That really seems to be the only solution.
I may be wrong but it is my understanding that some ISPs give you a new address any time you restart your computer.
If so, those honest folks with that connection would be penalized.
Not really. Some of these people have several sleeper accounts, with which they post routine stuff from time to time in order to make those accounts appear legitimate. With that kind of advanced preparation, a small waiting period wouldn't be very effective in preventing a full-blown freak attack.
The scumbags are using a proxy domain registrar. Without a court order, it will be most difficult to identify who is behind GNAA.US... That doesn't mean it should not be done -- and soon!

Well, tell the creep to add me to his/her/it's hit list. I will stand with all of you against this crap!
So will I!
The best available solution is already being used.
I believe that it's easier for the mods to just zap every offensive poster than it is for the trolls to go through the process of new email accounts and ISP addresses.
Google Lurking2Long and 2005. He was posting as recently as March 2005. I can DEFINITELY see him doing this based on the limited encounter. In fact at least one of his posts was made at 5 AM.
(1) When was the very first post by this troll?
(2) When was L2L banned?
(3) Do their ISPs match?
Interesting, Skooz. I can see that. I never would have thought of it, but yes, that's a good theory.
