Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, interested in shoring up his standing in the influential US Evangelical Christian community, met eight leading Evangelical figures Tuesday, including Jay Sekulow, a high profile Messianic Jew.
Sekulow, who runs a conservative civil liberties group called the American Center for Law & Justice that was set up by evangelist Pat Robertson, is considered close to US President George W. Bush and was one of three strategists charged by the White House with the task of getting Bush's controversial court nominees through the Senate.

Why is Jay participating in a delegation with that fraud Paul Crouch?

A part of the group smells of MONEY. Did you really mean to imply that Jews smell of money ?
To: af_vet_1981
I think he was talking about the Christians.

Sharon should be meeting with Evangelicals...but not "Jews" for Jesus.
To: af_vet_1981
I think he was referring to that huckster Paul Crouch. It is highly doubtful that any funds raised by Paul and the lovely Jan on behalf of Israel will ever reach that country. Okay, maybe 10% would, just to keep up appearances.

It's unclear to me why anyone would want to be within 500 yards of Crouch, much less in the same delegation.

I really like Jay. He's a Godly man, and one heck of a Constitutional Attorney!

I think he may be one of those folks who think that when a Jew admits that Jesus is the Messiah, he becomes... Mexican, or something. But not Jewish anymore.
There are Jewish atheists, yes; and Jewish everything elses.
But not Jews who admit Jesus is the Messiah (to these folks).

The reference was to Crouch. Sekulow is alright in my book.

One way to make sure the money goes to Israel is to go there yourself and spend it.
To: af_vet_1981
You can also make donations to charities like Magen David Adom if you want to help the Israelis.

What do you know about the charity Steven Spielberg's mother runs? She seems very passionate and pro-Israel. I hope my assumption is right.
