Newfound Dinosaur a Transitional Creature
Las Vegas Sun (AP) ^ | May 04, 2005 | Malcolm Ritter

Posted on 05/04/2005 12:32:23 PM PDT by MeanWestTexan

Caught in the act of evolution, the odd-looking, feathered dinosaur was becoming more vegetarian, moving away from its meat-eating ancestors.

It had the built-for-speed legs of meat-eaters, but was developing the bigger belly of plant-eaters. It had already lost the serrated teeth needed for tearing flesh. Those were replaced with the smaller, duller vegetarian variety.

All those instances can be answered by physics and chemistry, Darwinian macroevolutionis not explained by lawlike behaviors.

Sorry Pat, but he's indefensible.

If you sigh at me, you gotta sigh at him to.

You know I try to be respectful of those that ARE respectful.

And balrog is NOT respectful.

You think the same thing about everyone who disagrees with you.

I've gotten over that. You need to grow up though.

Maybe God spoke to the people in charge of the seminary and told them He didn't like competition?

What competition?

I think evolution is the most elegant and powerful of God's creations. Once started, Evolution has done Gods work, unabated, for 3 or 4 million years. It's a fully self-correcting, and as long as the planet stays here, an immortal system.

It's too bad creationists are too bone headed to appreciate God's handiwork.

Since you're paying attention...why don't you answer the question Pathen ducks: What is your best single reason for believing matter can organize itself upward by mere chance?

I will ignore your obvious misunderstanding of "upward" with respect to evolution. And I wonder who "Pathen" might be and why I should care? But ...

Why would you believe that matter cannot self-organize into more complex forms? Didn't you ever study organic chemistry? Or astronomy?

Pathen is not worthy of much respect either. He instigates his troop of anti-christian fanatics.

OK, I'll ask questions as news comes. Sound advice I think I'll take.

Actually, no, I don't. If you understood my posts you would know that.

I've gotten over that. You need to grow up though.

You need an education. You're never too old to learn something new. Prove me wrong about you and learn something. Anything.

You wanted self organizing systems of matter, and didn't qualify the method used.

I could have said "evolution" as well, but obviously you aren't going there.

Have you read the link to the DNA evidence for evolution I've posted a couple of times today? It's awesome.

The only person who doesn't believe the fact of evolution after that post obviously belongs on the OJ Jury. DNA always was over those folks heads.

My entire life experience shows no examples of things becoming MORE organized. Like from molecules to the human brain. It is just silly that darwin's hypotheses could actually occur.

You know I try to be respectful of those that ARE respectful.

"He started it!" didn't work for you in the third grade, and it isn't going to work now. You can do better.

Do you know how many insults I receive in the course of a single day around here? Can you even imagine how many I get in a month? And do you know how many times I respond in kind? You could count such responses on the fingers of one hand -- even if you had no hands. Am I a better Christian than everyone else? No, I just don't respond to such material.

B666 - Your humor is like Ann Coulter's. If someone's on your side, it's really funny. If not, well, it's pretty sharp.

Unfortunately I heard Ann say something positive about creationism one time. It took her down off the pedestal for me.

But he at least contributes to the discussion.

We all got our black marked allies, so I won't get mad on the simple basis of "baiting" and "provoking"

It's when that is the ONLY purpose one serves on the threads that I feel I have room to talk.

Dataman was rude. PatrickHenry has been rude. Fine. They both also add to the discussions.

balrog does NOTHING but instigate, so I call him out on such.

Why I am not surprised that you limit yourself to your own experience. Other people would read a book or two - but, hey, that's no reflection on you, is it?

Like from molecules to the human brain. It is just silly that darwin's hypotheses could actually occur.

As opposed to "special creationist poofism"? BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!

You must have never seen water vapor organize itself into rain droplets.

You must have never seen static electricity in the air organize itself into lightning bolts.

You must have never understood how meteors hitting in the desert of Arizona make almost perfectly round holes.

I could go on with this for awhile. It's fun.

Like from molecules to the human brain.

So you're saying that human brains never form? How, exactly, do they come into existence, then?

I typically leave balrog unanswered as well. But he spoke of another as if he had any room. There is a time when "just letting them talk" isn't allowable.

I understand I can do better, but I also hold that balrog shouldn't be allowed to act like he does and get away with it.

When you see two children, and they are fighting, and you know one ALWAYS fights, do you *only* chastise the non-fighter? No, you put the punk kid back in line too.
