Clinton Case Mystery
NY Sun ^ | Apr 21, 2005 | JOSH GERSTEIN

A Democratic fund-raiser involved in Senator Clinton's 2000 campaign has offered a guilty plea to bank fraud charges and is likely to become a government witness at the upcoming federal trial of a top finance aide to Mrs. Clinton, David Rosen, court records obtained by The New York Sun show.

As part of an FBI investigation into alleged campaign finance reporting violations by Mrs. Clinton's campaign, the mystery witness secretly taped a conversation with Mr. Rosen in September 2002 and apparently tried to elicit statements from the former Clinton staffer about financial irregularities involving an August 2000 Hollywood fund-raising event.

Allegedly inaccurate reports about that event filed with the Federal Election Commission led to Mr. Rosen's indictment on four counts of causing false statements to be made to federal authorities. One count was dropped by a judge last month, but Mr. Rosen is scheduled to go to trial on the remaining charges at Los Angeles on May 3.

If Senator Clinton were Representative Delay, how do you suppose the MSM and the other Democrats would react to this? I suspect this would be the trial event that we would see wherever we turned.

You can say that again. I'm sick of the double standard. I want congressional Republicans to go on offense.

"There is no indication in the documents whether the "prominent political figure" who may have been soliciting illegal gifts from foreigners is the same person to whom the informant is related." Were you sending gifts to Hillary??

The Dems wont allow Tom Delay his trial because they would then have to stop the inuendo campaign. Dont look for Hillary to ever face anything like delay is getting now, The Pubbies havent got the balls for it.

The real mystery is if anyone can find a single instance where the Klinton's did not lie, steal, or cheat.

The Pubbies havent got the balls for it.

That's why the "Pubbies" are in the majority and you're not!

I'm sick of this line that repubs don't have the Fortitude and somehow those that suggest they ought to go firebomb everyone and everything really have no clue!

Yes but then, when you consider that the Democratic Party is just an adjunct of the MSM, there cannot be symmetry in the coverage of the two parties.

Even if the MSM wanted to distance itself from the Democratic Party - and it certainly does not - it wouln't really be possible because the Democratic Party would just continue to echo the perspective of journalism. The same superficiality and the same arroganc,e and the same second-guessing of the people who actually make decisions and live with the consequences of them.

Why Broadcast Journalism is
Unnecessary and Illegitimate

The Clintulas are a team. The fact she never got her marriage annulled means she is married to Chinagate, the Ron Brown Coverup, the Vince Foster coverup, the Jerry Parks mystery, Pardoning a crack dealer for cash to her brother, pardoning FALN terrorists for votes, etc.

It's the weenies who backstab great reporters like Chris Ruddy that keep the rats on their feet. Maybe there was a time to run from the truth, back when the old media was dominant. But why now?
