The Washington Post published a story on Match 25 faulting President Bush for not injecting himself quickly enough into the tragic killings at the Indian reservation in Red Lake, Minnesota. Post reporter Ceci Connolly found a volunteer at an Indian office who said about Bush, "I don't feel he cares about the American Indian people." This is a classic case of a manufactured story designed to make the president look bad.
Connolly, a contributor to Fox News, wrote that "The reaction to Bush's silence was particularly bitter given his high-profile, late-night intervention on behalf of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman caught in a legal battle over whether her feeding tube should be reinserted." A left-wing website ran the story under the headline: "School Shooting vs. Schiavo: Why is Bush Silent on Red Lake?"
Did it occur to Connolly that Terri Schiavo was alive at the time that Bush intervened to try to save her life, and that the president could not have done anything to save the victims of that slaughter by an Indian youth in Minnesota? That is a clear difference, making the comparison illogical and unfair.

ceci is a typical lib dipwaddle
Hmmmm? You are correct.
The school was inside a foreign nation with it's own sovereignty - actually - Bush had no right to intervene!
Which further proves how stupid Ceci is and why I hate it when she subs for Mara.
We love to watch Special Report with Brit Hume. We love Fred Barns, Charles K., even Mort K. but when Cici is on we turn the TV off. She is:
Boring
Dull
Expressiionless
Meaningless
Dippy
What she babbles on about is stupid and so we don't waste our time watching anymore when she is on.
"I don't FEEL"
That's your problem Cici... Stop FEELING! She should use her brain and THINK for a change!!!
What would he say? Cece is over the top. If the president is to comment on every tragedy people like her would say he is using their deaths for political reasons....
Journalism 101--Find someone to verbalize your message, and then quote them.
Journalism 201--If you can't find a source to quote, fabricate one.
Brit's got to have at least one lib on the panel. When Ceci subs for Mara, I find that she is usually on her better behavior and is reasonably reasonable, so to speak. Still, this column is absurd. I guess the unstated premise: Bush is a racist who cares about a white women but not about Indians. Ridiculous.
I can't stand her either - I turn it off when she's on. That smirk - reminds me of a sister in law from hell.
But wasn't Schiavo Jewish?
I know - the smirk gets to me too.
And .. she is to me the epitomy of the arrogant, elitist liberal. She thinks she's better than we are, knows more than we do .. and she's not shy about showing her disdain for us.
Catholic! Don't you remember that she was given last rites and a lay friar was the spiritual advisor to her family?
When Ceci is on the tube, I scream at her like I scream at Elinor Clift, i.e., a lot. Only liberals can find a moral equivalence between trying to prevent a death (Terri Schiavo's) and making touchy-feely comments after a death (or several deaths, on the Indian reservation.)
Good article. Good job by Kinkaid.
Since the first time I saw her on Brit's show, I was struck by what a beltway conventional wisdom type she was. I thought she had very little intellectual candle power.
There was incident where the left and the MSM were claiming that Bush had claimed that Iraq was an "imminent threat". Only on Fox would you hear that Bush never made that claim, infact to the contrary. Well, here was little Cici on the round table making the point that "everyone knows" that Bush claimed Iraq was an imminent threat. I wish I had taped Brit taking her to the hoop on that one.
Isn't cici a typical liberal horse's ash?
