On Apr 14th, we prevented the lefties from entering the recruiter office and got lots of media attention. Here is a link to a story in the local news. I also infiltrated their march and rally. http://badgerherald.com/news/2005/04/15/demonstrators_walk_.php http://nbc15.madison.com/home/headlines/1474707.html Here is a picture of one of our signs within the pro-terrorist rally... I am holding the sign in the top left corner. The sign has a yellow border and is this sign Some of the other signs we held: Here are Some College Republicans and Freepers facing off with some radicals: The radicals that spoke included AL-Awda (Pro Hamas) and the International Socialist Organization, as well as Stop The War! (All connected to International ANSWER) When I get more pictures, I will post them here and in the PW Forums. All thanks go to the UW college republicans and local Freepers who turned out.

We were protecting a recruiting office from unwashed hippies and communists, and we succedded in doing so.
Funny-ass signs! Bravo!
Well, knock me over with a feather--a university official that didn't parrot the official PC line.
Well, now we know which side of the family the BH pilot didn't get his brains from...
Thank you,this ain't the 60's anymore.
Thank You for standing up to the Hanoi Kerry crowd!
KEWL!!!!!
They're starting to pull this crap down here in Georgia, too. Leftie punks are starting up weekly rallies at Army recruiting stations.
We'll be ready for 'em. Eagles up!
However, the Army recruiter who enlisted my daughter lied to her to get her to join. She hasn't received a promotion she was promised based on college credits, a year after the promotion was supposed to have happened. She was promised that she could only be sent where the contract stipulated, and now she is going to Iraq. You and I would be smart enough to realize that during war time, but they snagged my girl immediately after her high school graduation/18th birthday (same day). She had never experienced having trusted adults in her life lie to her to get her to do something.
She was so young and niave, and they pressured her to join extremely quickly. We didn't even know what she was up to until they had already taken her to the processing center center to be sworn in. A few days earlier and I could have had the recruiter charged with kidnapping.
Joining up to do your patriotic duty is one thing. Being lied to and coerced is another.

Over a year has passed. What does your daughter think? Positive/negative experience?
At first, she had to put on a brave face and make like it was all peachy keen. Now she is admitting that she is tired of the games, the lack of freedom that all her buddies back home enjoy. She is getting tired of broken promises too.
Joining the Army behind our backs was her first real rebellious act, and it was a doozy! That was the same time we first found out about Jessica Lynch. She hadn't been found yet, and I cried for three days, and that is why my daughter put up the brave act. My daughter is making the best of it, and she also understands that lots of soldiers aren't getting to go home when their tour is up, or even when their enlistment is up. What she thought was a free college education and a four year enlistment could well be 5-6 years, or could cost her her life.
I put on a brave face now too. I have an Army sticker and support the troops magnet on my SUV. I will still never forgive the recruiter.
Sounds like she made a decision and now doesn't like the results.
You won't find many recruits that don't complain about where they get sent and what they have to do once there.
There's all kind of legalese in those contracts, they actually guarantee nothing unless you meet certain qualifications along the way.
