Federal law enforcement officials call a Nutley man a ``dangerous predator.''
Kevin Hildreth has admitted sexually assaulting nine children and videotaping at least two having sex in the basement of a church where he was an assistant scoutmaster.
The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to federal charges of crossing state lines to sexually assault a child and possession of child pornography.
Hildreth was arrested in June as part of an international child porn Internet investigation. He told investigators that he had fondled or raped nine boys in the past 16 years.
The victims ranged in age from four to 13. One was his seven-year-old nephew, who lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Hildreth served as assistant scoutmaster for a Boy Scout troop at Wesley United Methodist Church in Belleville until 2000.

The BTK killer was also a scout master, not like this says anything. Seems like some of our serial criminals like to hide in the "normal"world. I bet there's tons of these guys and that's where we get the "unsolved" mysteries. These guys must fade in and out of society.
So, will the public castration followed by a public hanging take place in PA or NJ? OR will there be a slap on the wrist followed by parole in a year? When is America going to wake up and prosecute these evils done to children with the same vigor as a hate crime?

He should be executed for that. At the very least, life behind bars.

--> Sounds like maybe he plea bargained and maybe got a lesser charge for admitting, i don't know but he should definately get executed. This scum is useless to society.
At least, that's what I heard Okra say yesterday on her show.I couldn't walk away after hearing her(and some other woman who did a documentary on prison life)actually feel sorrow for convicted murderers and rapists.That show was nothing more than a love fest for criminals.(Still can't believe I watched it,but it was like a train wreck.Just couldn't turn away)
These are just the federal charges. State charges were also lodged against him.

NEWARK, N.J. -- A former assistant scoutmaster jailed on federal child pornography charges was accused Thursday of molesting about a half-dozen boys from 1989 to 2004 in two several Essex County towns, the county prosecutor's office said.
Kevin Hildreth, 35, of Nutley, was a caretaker for three children in Nutley, where he fondled them and videotaped one in a sexually explicit act, the office said.
Hildreth is also charged with committing similar acts upon three children in Belleville, including confining a child in a locked room while he videotaped sexual abuse.
He is charged in Nutley with three counts of child endangerment and two counts of sexual assault by sexual contact. In Belleville, the charges include kidnapping and criminal restraint, seven counts of child endangerment, and sexual assault by sexual contact.
The prosecutor's office said many incidents happened while Hildreth was supervising children at the Wesley Methodist Church in Belleville, where he was a volunteer.
