EXCERPTED from EMail:
The most important vote in Congress this session will be coming up soon. The Senate will vote to both abide by the Constitution and require a simple majority to end a filibuster, or to require 60 votes to end a filibuster as liberals desire.
Call your Senators today. Tell them you want them to vote to end a filibuster by a simple majority as the Constitution requires. Should the Senate fail to conform to the Constitution's rule of a simple majority, a minority of 40 liberal Senators can use the filibuster to force their agenda on every American.
The toll-free number is 1-877-762-8762. Ask to speak with your Senator. When finished leaving your message, call your other Senator.
Will do!
If the toll free number is busy, we need to call our U.S. senators direct number, but we MUST call.
Thanks for the ping.
One of our Texas legislators told us that when he gets 4 calls, he considers it a referendum!
Very important ping. Thank you. FReegards....
I tried calling yesterday just before I pinged this.I got the switchboard operator in the Senate.
I called twice, and I asked for Senator Cornyn and got a recorded message. I called back and asked for (holding nose here) Senator Hutchison and also go a recorded message. They were both out of the office, I guess.
I'm going to try again later on today.
I sure hope the 'RATS either mend their way on this stupid filibustering of judges. If not, Frist better step up to the plate and knock one outta the park. He could make a LOT of points if he holds their feet to the fire!
Hey, isn't today the March for Justice II thing in D.C. ? Gotta look for a Live Thread for that now. :)

Remember, if we can get some much-needed conservative judges appointed to the SCOTUS, we won't have to worry every day about what latest chicanery they're pulling behind our backs. Worth the effort? You betcha.
And SO WHAT if your senators are flaming lefties. Call 'em anyway! Remember, a day without pissing off a liberal is like a day without sunshine... $:-)
1-866-808-0065Reminder bump to self - try again to call Cornyn and Hutchison today.
I did try yesterday late. Got Cornyn's and Hutchison's recorded message.Trying again later today. :)
Please take me off your "General Interest" Ping list.
Bump.....keep the calls going.....
Hmmmm?? Strange. I justed searched for your screen name on
my ping list document and it doesn't come up.Not sure how you got in that ping unless you already asked off?
Anyway, you're off now. Have a good day. :)
Perhaps you were duped? I hope you were not intentially misinforming FReepers.
Here is a correct TOLL FREE NUMBER:
1-877-762-8762
Dang! It worked for me yesterday.I may call it again and tell them I am FOR ENDING
the BS filibuster and they can jump in the lake.
Here is the correct TOLL FREE NUMBER:
1-877-762-8762
Done....thanks for corrected #.
Interesting: message at 866-808-0065 is:
[?thank you for..] .... participating in national call in day to support checks and balances, preserve minority rights, and oppose the nuclear option (lol). Upon hearing this message, we urge you to hang up and call your senator at (202) 224 - 3121.
Took a while, but I did get through to switchboard at 1 - 877 - 762 - 8762 -- talked to our Democrat senator. Aide thanked me for my input. Now calling the other one.
Every senator, regardless of party, should be called by their constituents. They need to hear opposition.
Calling all Senators ~ Bump!
Just spoke to Mel's staffer. . . interesting. I did a threefer comment regarding other recent FL issues, and thanked him.
These calls are always interesting, aren't they? A little window on how things are done, and we -- for our part -- make them aware of how things are perceived, eg, not using the term "nuclear option".
This is the least I can do, since can't be in Washington or even Tally for March II.
