UPDATE at 3PM: Chloe remains in critical condition, having been given dopamine, antibiotics and antiviral drugs, the docs are holding off on surgery for now.

They think a virus, possibly flu or ??? has invaded the peritoneum of her heart and may be causing all this distress. Her fever has spiked up to 102F and they see this as a positive sign that her immune system is still working and they want to wait and see before doing anything drastic. She remains sedated and on a ventilator.

Thanks for the update. If it is Pericarditis, them the actual heart muscle is not the issue. Hopefully they can control the infection. But to happen in such a little one-------
