Very obscure "Devil's Advocate" reference.

I'm afraid in his condition, Eddie Barzoon took a nasty fall and subjected himself to further absences (OK, obscure mixed reference)

Like it!

O.J.'s buddy, Robert Kardashian (sp?) died of brain cancer a year or two, maybe three ago. Not sure of the exact date. He stuck by old O.J. through the whole thing and ending up an outcast. I don't know if Cochran was a friend of O.J.'s too. There was alot of cocain use amongst O.J. and friends. Interesting huh?

"Freepers are not supposed to be ***holes."

I agree wholeheartedly. You know, I'm starting to agree with Hannity,.....this place (free-republic) is beginning to really become a cesspool of individuals who can't even respect the passing of an individual. It is sliding towards the same value system, or lack thereof, held by DU and that is a sad commentary. Reading these posts about this man's death is appalling.

In the end, folks, we are all going to have to rely on God's Mercy......don't forget it!!!!!!!!

Not everyone charged with a crime is guilty but if they are guilty the prosecution ought to able to prove it.

I guess if you were charged with a crime you would go to court without a lawyer?

" ... took him quite personally."

Nothing personal at all. He has nothing to do with me. Nor have I ever had any connection to a criminal trial, on one side or the other. I would suggest that you don't know enough about the man.

Johnnie Cochran did his job.

Hear, hear! Cochran's job was to defend his client to the best of his abilities. You might not like his client or his client's crimes, but without an able defense, the system becomes rife with abuse -- spend some time in Mexico if you need to understand. Or consider the fact that Randy Weaver is walking around a free man today.

I just have to say, you expressed my feelings exactly. I don't feel sad or sorry in the least. If I am sad is for Nicole and the other guy who got killed, and this guy got the killer off the hook, (along with the jury of course).

Today he faces whatever is out there after death. God, Hell, purgatory, whatever. Some day I will too, so I better be careful :), but I refuse to lie or pretend other feelings.

Probably not, which is one reason why I refrain from saying nasty things about him. Respect for his family and friends is another.

I would be very unhappy if people said such nasty things about me after I died...it's hurtful to the family. Of course, I am not a lawyer who has made a lot of enemies, either.

Sorry, but you ran second to "If he doesn't stir, you must inter." Try again tomorrow.

If it was you, you'd want a lawyer like Cochran too and guess what? If all that stood between you going free and the death penalty was a little noisome thing called the 'race card' you'd play it too. Sad as it is... I think OJ is guilty.

We could learn a lot from the Japanese as to crimes in society. IIRC, about 97% of all crimes are successfully solved in Japan...those guilty expect, and often WANT, to get caught and convicted.

First I could not butcher two people, but if I did, I'd confess and take my punishment. I could not live with myself anyway. I was raised that way.

Well, now I guess I have no moral high-ground to stand on when I see the DUnatics rejoicing in Rev. Falwell's illness.

Turns out we are every bit as bad.

Johnny did his job. 'Nuff Said.,

If wishes were horses. He went well beyond what was called for and enabled by the media from the moment Simpson made the fateful Bronco ride.

The Lord works in mysterious ways and he was deprived of additional years of public fawning and representing Snoop Dog and his ilk.One less in our face example of the Clinton Years. God will sort it out.

There's a deep sense of honor and face saving in Japan that does not exist in this country. Not sure why. I could not live with myself either.
