Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
The Pinells Park Bullies.
That's okay...God's keeping a record of what they're saying. They'll have to answer to him one day soon.
That's "Pinellas."
Uphold her brother and sister as they see the light grow dim ...
So true. God does not forget.
Our hearts are broken, Lord ... our hearts are broken ..
Amen. This is easily the most ghoulish atrocity I have ever seen perpetrated on an innocent human being (outside the womb) in my 52 years on planet Earth. I never thought such a thing would happen in Amerika.
On a side note: just passed up Florida orange juice (the first of many occasions to come), and I must admit it was rather unsettling to watch Americans skittering back and forth with loaded grocery carts, while Terri is being STARVED TO DEATH in Florida. I kept making loud references to Terri to no one in particular (much to my wife's annoyance), but I couldn't even shake a dirty look out of anyone.
Though weeping may last through the night, joy comes in the morning. The Lord gave me a new perspective on that today. Perhaps it's obvious to everyone but me (until now!) but what he is saying is that this world is dark and sinful, filled with evil. It's not always going to be this way...He is Lord...He is coming again...and He rose from the dead 2000 years ago this weekend to give us life...and joy in the morning. It's not morning yet, but morning is coming.
My dear friends, who have stood by Terri...Terri has been dealt injustice after injustice and cruelty after cruelty...but if the Lord sees fit to allow her death, she's going to be JUST FINE. Those who murdered her, however, may find joy NOW...but there will be weeping in the morning. Unless they repent and seek forgiveness (and that includes those on this board clammoring for her murder), they will have to give account for their evil. Terri, on the other hand, will be sitting side-by-side with Jesus and drinking in LIFE. I can just see her turning that beautiful smile of hers on Jesus as he opens his arms wide with a huge grin on his face and says, "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!!! ENTER INTO THE JOY OF YOUR LORD!"
My heart cries out, O God ... rescue this mother's child from the roaring lions ...
One of them looks like Dolph Lundgren from Rocky 4.
I am a true pro-lifer, and work very, very hard for these issues, but I would not ask all of our best and brightest politicians to break the law and be impeached and convicted because then what would we have left to fight the fight? Would this gain us anything?
If we managed to drag Terri out of her hospice room, and rehydrated her, within six weeks, she would be back being dehydrated, the state of Florida might be under martial law, there would certainly be riots all across Florida and possibly across the US. mostly against us, Jeb Bush would be impeached by the state of Florida, then probably charged in the Federal courts for kidnapping, the FBI would be involved, and many other charges, and we would lose any future chance at getting our point across.
What you want is a revolution. What we have the power to do is only an insurrection. We would be crushed and our cause would be put down by the blue states through the courts so fast that you wouldn't know what had happened.
Is this what God wants? What about all the other people who need us to stand by their side and work for their rights?
Do we break the law and totally lose, or do we let God be God and put his plan into work?
You can talk about Jeb being able to do this, if he would only want to. But all he could do would be to take Terri out. He would not be able to keep her safe. He would not be able to reverse the court rulings. He would not be able to change the fact that her guardian of record asked this. He would not be able to change the horrid reality.
The federal courts would not back him.
If George Bush tried to pardon him, he would end up impeached, and be able to do nothing else to further trying to strengthen the right to life laws or any of the other goals we are trying for. He would become political poison, and there would be nothing much passed in the way of legislation, and the judges we desperately need would not get nominated. In fact, steping out as far as he did is going to cost him some, probably.
We need those judges. We need good men and women who respect life and the constitution to be in power.
Think about it.
Crucify me as not being a "true" pro-lifer if you will, but I will say this: God knows what he's doing. His will be done. May God have mercy for us in our gried and sorrow, and be with the Schindlers and Terri. May he show us his way.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Lord Jesus, I have no idea how Mr. and Mrs. Schindler and their children are holding on, but I pray you will make them so aware that you are with them...please let them be INTENSELY aware of your presence and give them great comfort from within. Be with them, comfort them, give them You. In Jesus name.
In the hour of trial, Jesus, plead for me ... lest by base denial, I depart from Thee, When thou see'st me waver, with a look recall, nor for fear or favor, suffer me to fall ...
Hey everyone, just got back on after not hearing any news since this ugly morning.
We still in the same place we were? Terri's mom and dad have filed at the FL Supreme Court I see. It will do no good I'm afraid. Man my heart is just breaking for them and Terri.
Also, anyone heard from JEB today? Is he still hiding out and not doing anything? I can't believe what a coward he has turned out to be!!!
Any updates please PING me!!
Nothing is happening and it appears it will not. And, no, Jeb is hiding and has washed his hands.
No. You make a lot of sense. But what deeply disturbs me is the lack of moral outrage...perhaps everything you're saying is true...it has occurred to me, too...there is no outrage...the President has not even spoken out about the fact that a puny little Florida judge has just run roughshod of the Congress, the President of the United States, the Governor of Florida, and the American People...not to mention the fact that he is murdering an innocent woman.
I'm leaving the Republican party.
Should Thy Mercy send me
Sorrow, pain and woe
Or should pain attend me
On my path below
Grant that I may never
Fail Thy Hand to see
Grant that I may ever
Cast my care on thee.
As we stand vigil, O Lord ... let Terri's prison become a sanctuary wherein the Beauty of Christ is seen ...
OMG!
