TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

If Terri had WANTED life support DIScontinued, she could have signed a Living Will. What was she suppose to sign to say she WANTED to be fed?

Excuse me? Please read my post again. Removing nutrition and water was ILLEGAL before 1999. Terri could not and would not have asked for such a thing. And if your post is about my leaving out food, starvation is not what's killing her, dehydration is.

Q: What can't Terri have water?

A: Because Florida lawmakers need it all to wash their hands.

Too bad, they swore an oath.

seems many have put their hand on a Bible and swore an oath to a God they have no allegience to

I understand it all now. Jeb (giving him the benefit of doubt) was on his way to get Terri, Felos reminded him he approved pulling the feeding tube, and all Jeb could see was his presidency going down the drain so called off the calvary. I suspect now that Jeb is really the one who told DCF to back off since they obey his, aka the state's, orders not Greer's.

Jeb, admit you messed up with 765, and do the right thing! If you save Terri, you save your presidency as well.

What is the new 767? Is it akin to shooting yourself in the foot???

I thought eccentric was questioning the government's default view of a person's wishes. It's only sensible that life be the default, but in Terri's case the government is defaulting to death.

I agree. I will be interested in seeing what he does..he is the only human that can save her now. Well, him or GWB...we'll see.

Please correct me if I am wrong but it seems that no other than Feces was responsible for getting it passed in Florida that tube feedings were life support along with Sen King (R)

I saw Brother Paul this morning pleading to the Gov and he said that if he didn't do something he'd be answering to another Judge (meaning God)

See #3142 above.

Typo, I meant Statute 765 not 767.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You have not abandoned this mother's child ... she is held in the comfort of Your embrace when her own mother cannot. You give to her Living Water and the Bread of Life when her own family cannot. You love her while her enemies hate ... You cause Your children to weep over her when the hearts and eyes of others are as stone ... You are a God of tender mercy, standing watch over our beloved Terri. May the eyes and hearts of stone be turned into tears of repentance ... bring forth that one Judge, O God ... the one for whom we long have prayed ... the one who yet could restore this wounded woman to the love and care of her family. Make haste, O God, for the hour draws nigh ... let not the hour pass without the rescue of this innocent lamb. In the Name of Jesus, may it be thus, O Lord ... may it be thus. Nevertheless, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen ...

When Jesus breathed His last, in the eyes of the world it appeared that Satan and death won.

After only three days, the world saw that the opposite was true.

he may have won a battle perhaps, but unless a seed falls to the ground, it cannot bear fruit. Time will tell.

I heard a man on msnbc talking about the Pope's health and directly connecting it to Terri and how significant Terri's fight has become, especially now at Easter. The irony hasn't escaped the media.

If God should take Terri home (and I'm still not convinced that this will occur) I suspect and expect the dam may very well break in ways we cannot imagine. It may even spark revival when the "church goers" political aids, those in the medical fields and on and on come to the realization that no many was willing or able to save her.

Pat Buchanan was incredible as well, saying that Jeb should have gone in there. Pat has been right about so many things, our borders, free trade and the economy and the sanctity of human life. Go Pat Go. Maybe it's time?

And we know that Brother Paul knows all.

Does Paul strike you as being a bit light in the loafers?

He does me.

I love Pat and he is really upset about Terri and he said the President could do something too...the Bush brothers better think of something or they will look like the rest of them who talk big but take no action. Ok, now I am really going to take a nap....:)
