Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
numb, past crying, can't hate, just waiting for the Lord to come knowing vengence will be swift.
It's not often that a person has this sort of opportunity to do something of this magnitude under God's spotlight but that's just where Jeb is at right now. Shame on him if he doesn't realize or denies his calling on this one.
Note: GREER USED UP AS MUCH OF TERRI'S PRECIOUS LIFE ENERGY AS HE COULD before issuing a decision!
Yes, Knitting, other groups....yes.
Alliance Defense Fund is good.
If there's one thing we're all learning through this horror with Terri - it is that we must really be careful who we trust.
AVOID Judicial Watch.
They will pay for what they have done to our sister Terri....Lord, please let Terri live, please heal her for Easter and show the world that evil cannot win....we trust in you Lord and let thy will be done
You need to read more about the case, and not rely on the lies that claim the courts ordered her death.
If she is able to feed herself, and wants to, she's perfectly allowed to do so. The fact is, though, that she's not going to do it.
We need to be one in attitude like Jesus in the Garden: Not my will, Father, but thine be done.
We pray, O Lord for your will to be done.
We pray, O Lord, that even though we can't see what your will is, that you send us your peace, and let us know that you are in control.
Lord, how often have we asked for something, and you had something better in mind, and we ached and cried about being told no. Help us say O Lord, I trust thee, and continue to do what you want, even if the way seems rough.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Amen
R U in Kansas? I first voted for Dole for VP in '76. Nice guy. Yep. WWII just bought the world a few years...
I need to withdraw. I will be in prayers, for Terri, her family and for many of you. This is a day of continued grief. But there will be a day of rejoicing, a day when there will be no more tears. In between then and now, there is much work for us to do.
More detailed info. for your call.

"Bob Schindler knows Jeb could do something....perhaps if he and Mary got down on their knees and begged in front of the world, Jeb would stop the hand wringing and do what's right."
You're right. There are printed quotes where Bob says this.
Anyone think Fox News would send a cameraman out to get footage if the Schindlers did as jrabbit has suggested?
Part of the tragedy here is that the "mainstream" commie news is not visually showing the Schindler's intense sorrows.
And now Fox News does a poll.....how utterly sickening
Jeb Bush can save Terri anytime he wants...I guess he doesn't want to.
(Crosspost. Varina I hope you don't mind that I brought your post over here. I think it's VERY important!)
We have become a nation without natural affection, lovers of self, having no mercy.
Take action for Terri.

The Right to Life
National Review Online ^ | March 24, 2005 | William J. Bennett and Brian T. Kennedy
The "auxiliary precautions" of Florida government in this case the Florida supreme court have failed Terri Schiavo. It is time, therefore, for Governor Bush to execute the law and protect her rights, and, in turn, he should take responsibility for his actions. Using the state police powers, Governor Bush can order the feeding tube reinserted. His defense will be that he and a majority of the Florida legislature believe the Florida Constitution requires nothing less...
In taking these extraordinary steps to save an innocent life, Governor Bush should be judged not by the opinion of the Florida supreme court, a co-equal branch of the Florida government, but by the opinions of his political superiors, the people of Florida. If they disagree with their governor, they are indeed free to act through their elected representatives and impeach him. Or they can vindicate him if they think he is right. But he should not be cowed into inaction he should not allow an innocent woman to be starved to death because of an opinion of a court he believes to be wrong and unconstitutional...
Governor Bush pledged to uphold the Florida constitution as he understands it, not as it is understood by some Florida judges. He is the rightful representative of the people of Florida and he is the chief executive, in whom the power is vested to execute the law and protect the rights of citizens. He should use that power to protect Terri's natural right to live, and he should do so now.
