Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Awestruck, I've seen you do nothing inappropriate here, but can appreciate your humility is sharing your heart.
Mat 5:3 Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:4 Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Mat 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6 Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7 Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8 Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9 Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10 Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
I am mad at the President, he defintely could do something, if his brother is too afraid than he needs to act...this is ridiculous. He professes to be a Christian, well he should let his actions speak louder than his words. The thing that really angers me is that he KNOWS that her husband had something to do with this, they have the records of things I am sure and he has to know that not only is Terri an innocent person being murdered, but that he is allowing her husband to get away with crimes that he obviously has committed. He is letting a criminal get away. If he doesn't act by tomorrow, I will lose the little respect that I have left for him.
Sigh. My dear friends, there are a few names that are big, bad news. They live to agitate. Yet you keep engaging them. Don't you know they love getting you riled? Don't you know they are here to disrupt unity and prayer and encouragement and community? For the love of heaven...please stop encouraging them with comments. If you don't, they will simply keep coming here to fight. They have other threads on which to do battle. This one has been very peaceful and heartfelt for Terri and they know that...and so does our enemy, satan. It's up to you, of course -- but why keep encouraging people who live to disrupt on this issue?
PLEASE...reconsider before you hit that send button. I'm sure most of us think twice before we respond angrily. In this case, I'm asking you to think twice before you respond to obvious naysayers.
Someone earlier said I was being dictatorial...I'm not trying to be, this is an earnest request, however. I believe the naysayers really, in their heart of hearts, believe what they're saying. These are NOT bad people. These are fellow Freepers. But they are breaking the flow of unity, prayer, and hope on this thread, which is their intention. They have many, many other threads to argue on where people are not asking them to please not do so. Here, we have had unity, so they are breaking that intentionally by getting you riled, and they know it.
Please reconsider before responding to these people.
Up here in Los Angeles and wondering what has happened through the night.
Here in Maryland and wondering the same thing.
Heavenly Father - We love Thee and praise Thee. Thank Thee for sending Thy Beloved Son to suffer and die for us to save us from our sins. We can never repay that debt. Help us to try. In the Holy Blessed Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
amen... can't believe you're still up!
Saundra, I understand your stance. But since Terri's hope is down to the wire now - I continue saying both the governor and the president have the constitutional power to act - because the fact is they do. I'm sorry. I voted for the president and I love his personality. But personality is not what I voted for. I voted for a leader who will protect ALL innocent Americans.
If we're wise we will all realize that the president is just as culpable in this as his brother is. They both share the responsibility since the constitution gives the executive branch the authority to act in both cases.
In the past I have fervently debated Bush bashers on boards. I have believed in their integrity. But unless one of these two men takes action to saves this woman's life - and ultimately, when you get down to it - the lives of all Americans - I will hold both men accountable. Because constitutionally speaking, they are both accountable to the people for this.
It would be wrong to only hold one man accountable in my view. I do not say this to argue with you, for you are entitled to your opinion. But constitutionally speaking, both men are responsible here. http://www.renewamerica.us
Some of the most ghoulish comments I have ever seen or heard from the American people are appearing on the internet or are being spoken on talk radio. I sincerely hope some of the 'archival' types here on FR are collecting them on a thread for 'future use'.
I agree with Ralph Nader...I never thought I would see the day...
Same here.
Coward.
Saundra, a few nights ago a troll was beginning to henpeck me, but thankfully someone here private messaged me to let me know "who's who" so I could sidestep and move past the problem.
That was a really big help. Isn't it ironic that the best way we can fight trolls here is to not give them food, while we pray for more of God's life-giving Spirit symbolized by water?
Terri Schiavo Could Be Secured As Material
Witness in Qui Tam Action
By The Empire Journal
Five years ago this month, Terri Schindler Schiavo was moved from the Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Largo, Fl., to the Woodside Hospice House in Pinellas Park on orders of her estranged husband without the knowledge of her parents and without court order.
A hospice is a facility or service which provides supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families.
But Terri Schindler-Schiavo did not have a terminal illness.
She was a healthy but mentally handicapped woman sentenced to judicial homicide by Pinellas County Judge George Greer, Michael Schiavo and attorney, George Felos.
She now slowly being dehydrated and starved to death, having entered her eighth day without food and order, a barbaric, cruel and unusual punishment imposed by Greer.

I just read Nader's stance on this... blink blink... I'm telling you, we're living through the looking glass for sure.. with "christians" calling for her death, ;atheists, agnostics, and Ralph Nader begging for her life, and the president, congress, and a governor bowing down to a two bit county probate judge.... I don't know what to think anymore..
thank you.

I completely agree with you, LegalEagle. I work for the RNC, and right now I am very conflicted and I dread returning to work. My heart has always been with the Republican party. But right now I feel as if The G.O.P. is more about talking the talk to get votes rather than walking the walk and taking action on the most important issue...LIFE.
If Jeb or George do nothing and allow this injustice to prevail, I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't know if I'll be able to put my heart into my job.
This is so wrong, and no one in a position of power seems to care enough to do anything about it. It looks like the Schindlers are all alone. I feel for them. Most importantly I feel for Terri. She may be trapped in that body. She may be trying to scream everyday, but unable to. She may know what's being done to her. She may be in extreme pain as her bodily organs begin to fail.
I can't believe this is America. I just can't believe this is my country.
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Lord we are filled with gratitude and thanksgiving this weekend for what you did for us so long ago. You are the definition of a hero...you are so wonderful there are no words to speak. Because of you, we live...because of what you willingly endured, we can come before God's throne and make our voices heard.
Lord, this morning I come to you asking that you keep Terri's organs functioning and that you not let her be in pain. Receive glory by rescuing her, and let evil's tight grip begin now to loosen on the edge of this cliff. Give her parents peace and reassurance...let them know with absolutely certainty that you are there.
In Jesus name.
amen...oh AMEN!!!!
Lord, let the world be amazed that you have given her inexplicable moisture and nourishment. Let them be baffled because only you could have sustained her. Receive the glory due you, Oh Lord...and keep Terri functioning and free of pain. When she emerges from this Lord (if it be your will) let her tell wonderful stories about how she knew you were there. Sustain her, Lord. Only you are capable. And please turn the heart of stone in Judge Greer into a heart of flesh. Lord, if he is, indeed, doing what he *thinks* is right, show him his error. Rescue Terri, but YOU receive glory, Lord, because the glory is yours to have. Give her drink, give her food, even if man is not. In Jesus name.
