Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Profound, Polly. And all too true.
A group of Terri's friends, not sure how I ended up on it. The person says it's all over Fox news. I just turned back to see if I see it.
Oh yes they do. I've had extended discussions to confirm exactly that point.
I don't have cable...anyone else have FOX on?
So far I haven't seen it on tv...fox website says Greer denied the motion to recuse himself.
So far emails from this person have been accurate and I've been getting the updates from Cheryl Ford via the same.
Anybody hear it on any news yet?
Velveeta said: "He could still grant clemency, take her into protective custody, etc. If Jeb's hands are tied this easily, it means that the courts have the definitive authority in Florida."
Amen! I was just reading the piece by Dr. Alan Keyes and he agrees with you completely.

"The root of the problem is the abuse of the power of judicial review. This played a role in the Schiavo case, when the Florida state Supreme Court declared unconstitutional the Florida legislature's attempt to authorize protection for Terri Schiavo's continued access to nutrition.
But in a constitutional system based on checks and balances, one branch can run riot only if some other branch fails to exert the power necessary to constrain its actions within constitutional bounds.
This means that the rise of judicial tyranny represents a failure elsewhere in the government. Now we know that in the Schiavo case, both the Florida and the national legislatures exerted themselves in an effort to secure her basic right to life. They failed because the judiciary has the power to invalidate their actions, either in application or through the power of judicial review.
In the end, the constraint of judicial abuse is especially the responsibility of the executive branch of government, since the executive has both the opportunity and the obligation to act without the interference of the judiciary, provided that in doing so he consults the political will of the legislative power.
Until and unless the people elected to wield executive power in our national and state governments recognize and act upon this responsibility, the judiciary will go unchecked, destroying the balance of power among the branches and with it our system of free, representative self-government."
Wait..........it was THE DAY HER TUBE WAS PULLED WASN't IT? OR just before that day?
Nothing on the radio!!!
Please, make this true! Or is he just stringing us along again? Will hino's 8 hour stay trump this?
The day of, I think.....she said, "this would be all over if you would just tell us if you want to live"
of course he denied the motion.. that's all he knows how to do.. stay the course.. right into Hell..
It was the day OF the tube being pulled.
Greer knows. He doesn't care one iota.
But Jeb has done all he can do
I think both the governor and the president can do something...there are executive orders, pardons for innocent but it seems greer and his cronies have taken over our country
Fox has Kasich filling in for O'Reilly (who had a segment talking about "what's the use?") and they just did a break from the hospice but nothing on that report.
Can you confirm this?
I should think, if this was the case, it would be all over EVERY news medium...
I turned on Fox...waiting, will check other sites.
"If I perish, I perish but I will do what is right in the sight of God." (see Esther 4:16)
The three judge court has denied to hook up her water and food. Now it can go to the full court.
"But Jeb has done all he can do."
With all due respect for your feelings, friend, this is not the case. Read this:
