TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

With 60% of the people supporting Michael Schiavo, your argument doesn't make sense.

Unless there has been a more recent poll, the March 23rd Gallup poll gave a figure of 52% +/- 4% supported not feeding Mrs. Schiavo. As to sympathy, the parents drew 86% +/- 4% were either very or somewhat sympathetic.

Mr. Schiavo did not get even 50% very or somewhat sympathetic.

Oh, it's in the 6th Circuit all right. It's a class action. Then there's the Software company subsidiary that's received illegal funds. Then there's the US Health and Human Services wanting $14mm from the Houswitz since 1997. I understand Greer's wife sits on the BOD at the sunny Sun Coast where all is life.

Oh yes, don't investigate USF too closely. There's an upcoming conference on hospice care in April. It'll be big.

Even if she were terminal, the notion that someone could be deemed under any circumstances to be incompetant to request food and water is frightening.

Yes, that is frightening. I think that now I want a "verbal override" clause in my living will, based on that case.

That means 60% of the people would want to die if they were in Terri's state. I do not believe that for one minute. If they keep on killing the unborn, the disabled, the elderly, they are not going to have anyone paying taxes.

Who is ruling now?

The State. Most people don't see it because it is in everything and you would need something that is not State in order to see what is State.

On another topic, the verbal instructions (if any) given to MS by TS are being abused.

Okay, Jeb rushes into the Hospice, drags Terri out, they reinsert the feeding tube. Then Jeb goes to jail..... and guess what???? Michael Schiavo and Greer grab Terri, take her back to Hospice and take the feeding tube out again. And they won't wait a week to do this.

Plus who is going to rush in...you would have the cops who work together fighting against each other which would truly be anarchy and not really a solution in my mind.

Shep Smith will get laughed out of heaven soon enough.
No pins and needles here waiting on Greer's ruling.
Hell is heating up right now.

Anarchy already rules. The Webster's Dictionary defines anarchy as: a theory that regards the adsence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the pricipal mode of organized society.

Those "groups" are the renegade judges who have ties to the scientologists who want to create a "utopian totalitarian society" as they call it, where their ideals and laws overrule those of the United States Government.

Here's what's bothering me a lot. This is from my heart.

I try to envision myself in Gov. Bush's shoes and also, the president's. And I cannot even imagine allowing a woman to dehydrate into a dried mummy - if I had the authority to step in.

I hate to say this, but this is something Hitler would find no problem with. Or Saddam.

Of course, the president and the governor did not cause this, but they can do something to stop it - yet they do not. The executive branch has much more power to act than these men are using.

I see inaction on the part of people who can take action to stop evil - as wrong.

There are tons of issues surrounding this calling the husband into question, yet.....not much concern expressed by the president or the governor.

The president talks about how awful Saddam was and justifies a war costing America dearly. Yet he does nothing now - even though it's abundantly clear that he can take positive action if you've read Alan Keyes piece on the subject. http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=43472

Saddam sprayed civilians with chemicals causing them to die horrific deaths. How is this situation with Terri much different? This is like the governor and the president know an American citizen is being harmed in the worst way and they can stop it - but they don't.

It seems the Bushes would be worried about how this is making them look to people....that they'd be concerned people are going to seriously lose confidence in their leadership.

This is like the brazon disregard a dictator would employ, isn't it? As in just not really responding to people's concerns?

Gov. Bush just says he can't do anything. Well, I'd like to hear him debate Dr. Alan Keyes and CONSTITUTIONALLY DETAIL exactly why he can't. But he won't even explain anything. He just says "I can't and I won't." Right?

How is this different from what dictators would allow in other countries????

We've got ten year old children being handcuffed for trying to give a dehydrating woman water.....and the governor is washing his hands. He's having dinner every day and drinking water. He's enjoying a nice comfortable governor's mansion in Florida.

How can he live with himself??? If he is truly a good man?

I'm sorry, but my brain is not registering how any good and decent honest person with constitutional authority to act - could be allowing this.

I've heard some people say the president knew about 9-11 ahead of time and things like that. I never believed it before, but now how can I deny it? How do I answer such people?

In the movie Schindler's List there is a part showing Jews on a train and they are having difficulty understanding where they're going. It's really eerie because in the scene they are having trouble comprehending that Hitler would be not have their best interests at heart. They are in denial.

And I have to ask myself: Am I in denial if I think the best of the Bushes here?

I mean....think about it: How can any good, decent human being allow this when they have constitutional authority to act?

It makes no sense....

It's an honest question. I'm not meaning to demean the office of president or governor, but this, to me, is far, far, far worse than anything Clinton did with Monica.

I'd much rather think the best of the Bushes - it would feel a lot more comfortable. But I'm having trouble....

This is way, way off the charts.

Am I the only one here feeling this stuff?

"the cops who work together fighting against each other"

I am thinking of these cops down there and the ones in the room with Terri and the ones arresting children.

A person can't wash this off his hands.

I happened to be one of the people polled in the March 23rd Gallup poll; there was nothing in any of the questions could have been interpreted by any normal adult as whether or not I wanted to die in such a situation.

Here's the thread I started about the experience: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1368859/posts

Sorry, I don't buy any of this.
If it comes to a showdown so be it, at least something was done. Jeb has the power, he knows it, we know it. If it takes the National Guard, if it takes more, I don't care. I don't care who dies, if they are trying to uphold a human beings rights, that is how our liberty was purchased and always will be.I would gladly die to see this put an end to right now. Too many lives are at stake.

OK, will start disseminating that as well.

I wonder if the Schindlers could immediately file a "Wrongful Death suit" in the event that Terri dies?

If they file it now...and begin to subpeona records, it might just make MS, Felos and Greer nervous enough to ensure Terri remains healthy. ??

Perhaps, I'm grasping at straws...
