Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

It could be all of our daughters, which I believe is where the emotion comes in. God bless the Schindlers. I hope they know how often they are in our prayers. We are grieving with them and for them. Words can't say how grieved we are.
Oh, okay. You're talking about Marjorie Nighbert as discussed in the Hugh Finn thread. I think there's more to that story than is written in those articles that were posted in that thread. It sounds like a completely horrible situation, where the lady was asking for food and water even though she had written specific orders that no one should give her any. They don't say much about the specific circumstances of her illness though, so it's hard to make a decision. The judge said she wasn't competent to ask for food and water. They don't explain why he said that. I'll bet there's more to that story that they're not telling - because if they did, it wouldn't be as interesting.
But if that's all there is to the story and the woman was actually competent and not terminal, then I don't agree with the action.
It took Sean and Rush way too long to come aboard, but they did and I'm thankful. Now if Jeb would open his eyes.

Life is not important to these people, if it were, they would be saving Terri, Greer would be in contemp of Congress and in jail. We must not forget, they can take our lives, but not our souls. They belong to God and He will be victorious! That gives me great satisfaction every time it looks like the murderers are winning.

Five years ago this month, Terri Schindler Schiavo was moved from the Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Largo, Fl., to the Woodside Hospice House in Pinellas Park on orders of her estranged husband without the knowledge of her parents and without court order.
A hospice is a facility or service which provides supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families.
But Terri Schindler-Schiavo did not have a terminal illness.
She was a healthy but mentally handicapped woman sentenced to judicial homicide by Pinellas County Judge George Greer, Michael Schiavo and attorney, George Felos.
She now slowly being dehydrated and starved to death, having entered her eighth day without food and order, a barbaric, cruel and unusual punishment imposed by Greer
Based on the continuing investigation into the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case by The Empire Journal, the newspaper has determined that a qui tam action could and should be immediately filed in U.S. District court based on the known Medicare and Medicaid fraud which exists in the Schiavo case and in Hospice at Florida Suncoast, the non-profit corporation which operates Woodside Hospice where Terri resides. read more at http://www.theempirejournal.com
I just read on Newsmax.com that Congress has no intention of enforcing the subpoenas issued on March 18 -- it was all a ruse. The Congress is corrupt too.

You're exactly right. This is the type of thing Rep Delay spoke of over the weekend as he fought for Terri's life.
They are doing to us, exactly what has been done to Terri. They want to portray us as lunatics as they used the PVS and brain dead description of Terri.
Right after the nurses came out for Terri, the media began to discredit them. Also even Dr Hamasfahr the neurologist as been dis-credited, fasely. It's outrageous.
If we were not Christians and they were describing any other group the way they do us, they would be accused of HATE SPEECH. It's definately double talk and dirty tricks.
Abrams' father is some kind of popular liberal law professor in TN, I believe.
