Gabriel Keys (foreground) is arrested by police officers for trespassing in Pinellas Park, Florida, March 23, 2005. The young protester attempted to take a glass of water into the Woodside Hospice for the brain-damaged Terri Schiavo. A federal judge rejected a request from the parents of Schiavo to order her feeding tube reinserted, dealing a blow to attempts by the U.S. Congress and the White House to prolong her life.
Agreed.
If the kids were actually from Pinellas, you might actually have a point.
Just think - only a few more hours and there will be so many who have their bloodlust satisfied for the week.
Oh, the power - the utter power.
So is criminal neglect. Especially when it is for the express purpose of causing DEATH.
Soldiers and other government authorized people - goes along with my point.
There's evidence she can - for instance, she swallows saliva. Nurses have fed her, but her "husband" forbade anyone to feed her.
can it be sent my mail - special delivery - the mail must get through ?
It's a strange feeling - losing respect for one's country. I've never felt ashamed of my country like I do today.
The kids were handcuffed and taken away to jail.
Sorry, it's your bubble that is broken. The children are from Texas, not Pinellas County, FL.
Nobody's "using the kids". If you had bothered to read the text accompanying the pictures you would have known that the kids decided to do it on their own.
If you won't read; you're no better off than those that can't.
Similarly, it is a statement of fact that human laws are not the highest arbiter of right and wrong, of what should be allowed and not allowed. People everywhere are always obligated to follow the dictates of their own consciences above any merely human law.
Do you believe everything the media places before you?
Amen to that!!! My two cents, since everybody else is giving theirs, I would do this with my kids in a second. I don't even care if it is "grandstanding". You've got to have the guts to act on what you think is right and this is a great opportunity for action because somebody is being treated in an inhumane way. A lot of things that are right are not popular. Most "learning" happens out of school.
Oh well in that case shoot the little buggers! God forbid they should TRESPASS in order to give comfort to a dying woman! Wouldn't want those trespassing little delinquents upsetting your delicate sensibilities.
What's happening to our country?
This is a disgusting indecency - arresting children who bring water to a dying woman.
