Children put in hand cuffs for trying to give Terri water, I am appalled.
These officers remind me of those at Klamath sent there by their government to deny 1500 farming families of their water. They didn't want to be there. When talked to about what they were actually helping accomplish, most would move off and not talk to you anymore.
Surely many of these officers feel the same. God grant that they will not follow these orders to "protect" a woman whom they are killing by arresting those who would try and save her.
These pictures need broad exposure on FOX and all over the country.
Man, doesn't this just make you proud to be an American? /Sarcasm on and going full blast!
What a relief the police where there to take down those dangerous criminals! In what twisted, morally bankrupt and evil world is offering a dying woman a drink of water considered to be a crime????? How could we have sunk this low?
And a block away crooks are robbing a house.:)
Yet Nickeal's was not shackled. Things that make no sense.
What a world!
I know - it made me sick to see the kids in handcuffs. This whole thing makes me sooo sick inside and angry!
Where is the ACLU to protect these children? Oh wait...
This whole thing is surreal! I have been in a daze thest past few days! Shocked is more like it! Shocked that the courts could tell someone its okay to starve and dehydrate a person to death.
In defense of the LEOs...they probably have department regulations dictating handcuffs for any person arrested...still sucks, and I'm sure they knew how it would look...common sense isn't common.
Liberals just see this as some form of "late term" abortion, thus legal.
"Where is the ACLU to protect these children? Oh wait..."
...the ACLU only protects children who murder, and maim. If this kid smothered Terri Schiavo to death, he would get the best defense the ACLU had.
More than anything else, the Terri Schindler story is the death of the mainstream (broadcast) media; they've failed completely in covering the landmark event of the year -- not because of the conventional drama of armies on the march, but because they have no language and emotion for communicating this story. It's not about ideology; it is about compassion. The story is not so much about Terri -- as it is about the different responses to the facts, and what people regard as the facts, from their own experiences and understanding of life. The subject herself is almost the perfect Rohrschach ink blot. It's ultimately not about Terri -- but about everybody else.
The best the mainstream media can come up with is their bogus polls, "As you may already know..." What a presumption; we don't know, and the more one knows, the less one could say that it is merely a matter of a right to die issue; it is a right to die versus a right to live -- and which should trump which. Apparently to a lot of liberals, the right to die should trump the right to live only in the case of human beings but should be inviolable in the case of anything else -- even trumping the right of any other species over that of a human, so confused are they, so determined to be "right." It's not about rights or who is right. It is about what is human.
The richness in the discussion of this is where the new media of interaction vastly surpasses their laughable polling feedback which is already so biased in their design and intent. The death of Terri Schindler was the death of the mainstream media to be a viable, credible part of American life. To the end, they insisted on telling the people, vastly more intelligent, informed and compassionate than they are, what to think and how empty it was to be them. They had nothing worth learning about -- to be a better human being.
here I'll finish
.....they are busy calling the police to come and arrest the children for BRINGING WATER TO TERRY!!!
How disturbing. The poor police officers having to arrest children-not for shooting kids at their school, but for trying to give water to Terry Schiavo!
I sure hope this isn't a case of grown-ups exploiting children, the way the liberals do when they send kids on protest marches and sit-ins at state capitols, etc.
Those kids look home-schooled.
