This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.
And this is the year we begin to complete the trifecta: presidency, both houses of congress, judiciary.
$$$$$
Don't let a D hear you. The brain dead dems will use your words to claim they are living under a dictatorship.
They still control academia and pop media. They will continue to spew hate, rather than look at themselves and assess why Americans are turning away from the pro-Death party.
These judges have a "political" and "social" life beyond the bench. Odds are always in favor of a judge voting for his own best interests. Acting against Terri might well result in a judge getting snubbed in every social venue for the rest of his life. FUR SHUR there'll be no promotion from one level to another later on in his or her career as a judge.
Thanks for the list of physicians and how they voted.
Crazy Jim McDermott is a psychiatrist! and pro-death.
Hey, can't we make an exception for Cold Heat?

Thank you Tom DeLay for once again being fearless and acting as a true leader is supposed to act. Thank you too Mr. President. I can only imagine the pressures a few idiots put on you to ignore this.
Praising God this morning for Republicans in Congress who stood up against attack and derision to do the RIGHT thing, and for a God-sent President who signed this bill in the middle of the night!
May God continue to bless America as we move back to being a culture that honors LIFE!!
Tom Delay ROCKS...MUD
Cool!
The 14th Amendment explicitly gives Congress the power to pass all legislation necessary to prevent states from violating or failing to protect people's rights.
Further, they could make the law exempt from judicial review by placing it outside the jurisdiction of any court, as the constitution allows Congress to do.
And a good morning back at ya.
What now?Someone has to go to a Federal court to get a judge to order the
feeding tube put back / Judge Greer's starvation murder ceased.Something like that.
Ping
Clinton should be proud of his appointment. Now the issue is, who is this Whittemore?
I agree ... Thank God for Christian Leaders. The dims are out saying what an outrage this is.. Blah blah blah... they really need more talking points.
But....but....I thought there wasn't a "dimes worth of difference" between the two parties.
