US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)

Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro

This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).

The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

This is American history happening before your eyes.

What the hell what that drivel from Shays?! Why bother speaking at all if he's not going to actually say anything? :-(

OMG!! You actually believe ABC, CBS, and NBC?? Come on, tell us, you really do think it didn't make any difference that those documents were fake. The question was real.....right?

One interesting thing is that DU seems unusually quiet about this event.

They're too busy watching the Gastineau Girls. Priorities, y'know?

Had the same thought when I saw that Debbie Wasserman Schulte from FL at the presser this morning. She said something like, "I'm speakng for the young people here. We in FL deal with these cases all of the time."

My take was, we have a huge problem with an aging population here in FL, and everybody better stay out of our fight to euthanize them.

Chris Shays has officially lost his ever-loving mind.

It's been gone for quite some time, at least since he voted "no" on Clinton's articles of impeachment.

"why doesn't Terri Schiavo merit them crying?"

Because she can't vote. The same reason they back murdering babies.

This Chris dude isn't arguing seriously. He doesn't even beleive his own sentences. He just gets aroused when he thinks a killing is imminent.

Brown-waite is a fool. This is the same woman who is a co-sponsor (i believe) to allow homosexuals to adopt children in FL. (I posted this on another thread here) She is a RINO.

Thanks for clarifying this ill-sounding woman. Wonder why she is a Repub. Sounds like she raised her daughter to love death like she does.

Are their pitchers of WATER on the floor of the US House during this debate?

I don't seem to recall.

One of the Republican goodguys should start to go around the floor of the House, particularly on the Dem. side, and start removing the pitchers of water. If anyone (Sgt. of Arms, Democrats) ask him what he's doing, he ought to access a nearby mike (for all to hear) and say 'nobody gets a drink on the House floor during the debate as long as that girl in Florida can't even get a sip of water as they try to kill her.'

It is an act worth censure from the Chair and removal for the day.

"The very idea of freedom presupposes some objective moral law which overarches rulers and ruled alike...Unless we return to the crude and nursery-like belief in objective values, we perish." . . . . . . C. S. Lewis

So weird... all I keep thinking of tonight is the "Screwtape Letters" and the bible verse (I'm Catholic so I can't quote chapter and verse, ha ha) about men calling evil good and good evil.

They are just running out the clock to midnight to do the vote.

It's all been said.

I hope we have a judge ready to order off this
