Mystery object lights up Northwest sky
FOX 12 OREGON ^ | 03.12.05 | NA

PORTLAND - A flaming object was spotted streaking through the Saturday night sky across Western Oregon and the impact was heard all the way from Salem to Medford, according to various reports.

Newspapers across the western half of the state and KPTV were getting phone calls from people who saw the object.

Summer Jensen of Portland said she was sitting in her living room with her father when they saw the flash of light outside and rushed to see what it was.

"I've never seen anything like that," Jensen said, adding that the object appeared to be moving slowly compared to a typical meteor, or "shooting star."

Yep, it's all planned by the Illuminati and the shadow government. George Soros is directing it so the American middle class is impoverished and the ruling elite can have millions of intelligent, well educated, slaves.

Saw one, exactly as you describe, sitting on my patio in TX a few years ago. Took my breath away~~! Also, seemed like it was in slow-motion.

Anyone remember when Skylab fell from the sky?

I still have my Skylab helmet.

blue streak lit the sky in a slow glide to the west

One thing I'm puzzled about is others described the trajectory as north to south, and the color as orange.

Were there multiple meteors at about the same time? If it was a single meteor, the color may have changed as the outer layers burned off and/or the temp cooled.

Art Bell came out strongly against that idiotic theory that the President knew in advance.

I said "burns," not "overwhelms and utterly destroys".

Good one, though. :)

Meteor? I think so. I found this link that gives info on meteor showers throughout the year. http://comets.amsmeteors.org/meteors/calendar.html

Its odd how often it occurs that when one just listens to a few moments of a commentary, "eavesdrops" on a conversation, that they can get the exact OPPOSITE of what is being said...

I didn't say that Art Bell agreed with the author, I just wrote what Bell was talking about---

He then went on to say that even though he didn't believe those stories about Bush, he DID vote for John Kerry because Kerry PROMISED not to let spent nuke fuel to be dumped in Nevada---and Art believe him, maybe those green men really have stolen his brain!!!

That's what happens when you cheat on elections.

Mountains blow up, you get pounded from the skies, what's next, frogs and locusts?

My whole discussion of Art Bell, if ya'll haven't noticed, has been very, very tongue-in-cheek---

I never have and never will take Bell seriously---and you shouldn't take any of my posts so darn seriously either...

I was just having fun, okay? besides, I have never heard listening to a radio talk show described as the equivalent to "eavesdropping" before---don't you ever channel surf on the TV or radio, just hit a station for a few seconds to see/hear if you are interested?

That is what I did, but then when I didn't hear anything on any other station that I wanted to listen to, I cruised by again and THEN corrected my own post---sorry

Does anyone have any updates? Maybe you can all post your locations if you live on the northern west coast, and if you saw anything?
