PORTLAND - A flaming object was spotted streaking through the Saturday night sky across Western Oregon and the impact was heard all the way from Salem to Medford, according to various reports.
Newspapers across the western half of the state and KPTV were getting phone calls from people who saw the object.
Summer Jensen of Portland said she was sitting in her living room with her father when they saw the flash of light outside and rushed to see what it was.
"I've never seen anything like that," Jensen said, adding that the object appeared to be moving slowly compared to a typical meteor, or "shooting star."

Bump!
Thank you for the links.
Hmmmm? That's interesting.
Its in my bedroom closet right now.....
Were there multiple meteors at about the same time? If it was a single meteor, the color may have changed as the outer layers burned off and/or the temp cooled.
Now I'm very curious. I live in Eastern Washington and tonight about 10:30 PM my brother-in-law and I were out on the deck and saw what appeared to be a rather large meteorite streaking low, east to southwest, and trailing blue sparks. We both thought it was the biggest meteorite we'd seen and it sure looked like it was going to hit ground before it burned out.
You veddy funny. I choked on my coke.
That map looks like a picture of a healthy organ being eaten by cancer.
Art gives that admonition himself..., his is primarily an entertainment show, judge for yourself what "truth" is purveyed...

Although last night, got in late, as I listened to dear Art Bell his guest was debunking the 9/11 conspiracy theorists... and dear Art sounded like he was getting a lesson in metal science and heat. LOL
Occasionally, the idea that we are living in a campy SciFi horror film pops up.
Maybe it was Evil Knevil Jr. on a V-ROD...
