This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
thanks for the pix Wolfstar

Anybody know this guy's background? Amazing he managed to grab a gun, shoot 3 deputies and escape from a building which likely had many more deputies and still be on the run.
Situations like this are just one more reason for law abiding citizens to carry weapons.
Are you now comparing Bin Laden to the judge that was slain today?
Where are they getting 'bald' from??
Speaking of later, I'm late for work.
Y'all keep the thread warm...
I'm assuming family court again...
"Uh oh....it has started all over again."
Yeah but color me surprised he agreed with me and bailed.
Yes you do. And the Mod has the right to do whatever he deems necessasry.
But then FR has the right to restrict whomever it chooses for whatever reason it decides... She's techinically on private property (server space).
I have rarely had posts removed here on FR.
In most cases it's me asking for my own dumb
mistakes to be taken down.
it's pretty easy if you are willing to shoot the sheriffs deputy on the way in.

Yeah, I have to agree. An LEO in a courtroom has a duty to be able to restrain the perp or anyone else who tries to disrupt the court. (The judge should also have a firearm IMO). But the deputy has the main responsibility to be able to draw the weapon and restrain the perp before the perp can take the weapon away. A woman in this situation whould be more wary, sit farther away from the perp, take into account size and strength. I don't mind her being a woman, she should have had her weapon out and the perp shot dead in the middle of his first stride out of the chair.
If she was not interested in doing this, she should have been in another line of work.
Atlanta Constitution to Fox:
The condition of the reporter who was pistol whipped and had his car stolen is good, he has a lump on the head and broke his wrist when he fell.
The suspect took the car and they believe that he may still be in the car.
The reporter was not in the courthouse, he was parking his car in his work garage, the suspect pulled next to him, pulled out a gun, and carjacked the car.
The reporter has already written a story about this experience and it is on the Atlanta Constitution website.
Thank You
Dear Lord, love yours too. Where's my muse?
Good day, prairie. You're welcome. I'm sure more will go up on Yahoo as the day progresses.
Has anyone mentioned the age of the bailiffs/deputies?
I worked on a prisoner logistical problem years ago in York, Pa. One of the concerns was that the baliffis/deputies were for the most part retired law enforcement officers in their 60's. I remember this fact being raised in regard to their ability to chase a fleeing prisoner.
