Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?
Free Republic | March 2, 2005 | Jim Robinson

Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Are you as fed up as I am over the bad decisions being handed down by the SCOTUS and throughout the judiciary? Are you tired of judicial activism? Are you tired of being ruled by the men in black robes? Is it time to remind the SCOTUS that We The People ARE the final arbiters of law and justice in this land?

Are you fed up with the weak-kneed Republican Senate? Are you ready to drop the nuclear option on the obstructionist Democrats? Are you fed up with Specter and the RINOs?

Is it time for us to rise up and march on Washington again? How many of you are willing to join me in another march to D.C. to straighten out these yahoos and remind them of who's in charge in this republic?

If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!

I think marching on the residences of the rouge justices would be effective.

In Justice Kennedys opinion he states:

{the}... necessity of referring to “the evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society” to determine which punishments are so disproportionate as to be “cruel and unusual.”

Five robes on the court think their opinion represents the standards of our society.
As Justice Scalia points out, not only did they misgauge our values, they were wrong in doing so.

By marching on the residences of the rouge Justices we will be directly appealing to the power for a redress of our grievances.

We are dealing with self-apointed {legal} dictators.

You can find the current fax number of your senators and congress"persons" on this web address:(Yes it is updated for the 109th congress!)

http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/index.html

You can send an fax immediately to their office fax machine across the web at the following web address:

http://www.tpc.int/sendfax.html

If you really want to bloviate on this issue you can help fill up their fax boxes using both URLs to the degree you really feel motivated. Take a minute right now and tell them how far they should rise off their duffs to put an end to this judicial arrogance! Don't be bashful. They work for YOU!

INHO, the time for a demonstration would be when an important (non-conservative retirement) Supreme Court confirmation battle takes place.

We're on to something. When you're losing, it can't hurt to watch what the winning team (the socialists) is doing. We need to get off our "high ideals" and mount massive protest marches. Louis Farrakhan can lead 100,000 in a "million man" march, and the Socialist Workers Party can lead tens of thousands against America defending herself. Why can't the tens of millions who love the Constitution and our founding principles inspire two million ex-military folk, bikers, athletes, conservative Christians, and like-minded "average Americans" to march and shout in a grand circle around the capitol in DC, "Hey Hey Ho Ho, Socialism's Gotta Go!"

All it would take is organization, determination, and oh yeah, total commitment to the cause. Sunshine patriots need not apply.

You get me a bus anywhere in WV and I'm in. The poll is not working because the plan is not firmed up yet. We can't say yes or no without dates etc.

I bet the one that leaves from Georgia could be routed through Huntington or Charleston...(any other towns in WV?...) 8=)

I expect JimRob might look a little dull scheduling an event that 50 or so folks have signed up for as a "March on Washington".. My Daddy solved the old riddle a long time ago. He was strongly of the opinion you really did need a chicken before you could get an egg. We need more folks to commit or this is really not a big deal, just an excuse for more bloviating as O'Rielly is wont to say.

Also intersting to me a larger percentage of lurkers have signed up than members..go figure.

This is an open invitation to everybody to join this rally.

George McDermott is a tireless advocate for judicial change and accountabilty

Victims of the Law Rally

We are having a gathering come join us
2005.

The goal and purpose behind the Victims Law Day 2005 is to bring to the forefront issues that have long been ignored by our legislative and judicial branches of government. The issue is in a nutshell is that our courts have become abusive to the rights and liberties of the majority of our citizens, and act in favor of corporate and special-interest groups that now control our state and federal judiciary.

The goals and objectives outlined in this proposal may seem lofty to many, but just remember that we can always scale back our wish list. However, we must never forget that we as citizens advocacy groups are charged with collectively advocating on behalf of our members and others in similar situations, who are either unrepresented or under-represented. The call for legal reforms and restoration of equal justice under the law as our founders had intended is another lofty goal, which has yet to be achieved.

The basic outline, an agenda in draft form is as follows, and as the conceptionist I welcome input from all parties as to changes they may feel necessary to streamline the proposed plan in order to make it more appealing to a unified coalition of groups, which may be interested in joining in and supporting the agenda outlined herein.

What are our goal’s:

a. Our goals in organizing this event are simple and complex at the same time. There are numerous individuals, groups, and organizations currently concerned with the state of judicial affairs and legal injustice occurring throughout the nation in both our federal and state judicial system’s. As individual groups, we are all fighting an uphill battle to correct the system that favors big money and special interest groups over the will of the people and the established rule of law

b. To start the process of unifying the coalition of groups interested in true meaningful legal and judicial reform by bringing the voices of people to Washington D.C., and addressing our executive/legislative/and judicial leaders directly in their offices and places of business, so they cannot discount the people and the power of the their numbers seeking change.

C. To set forth a legislative action committee wherein at semi-annual gatherings our individual delegates would get together in a conference setting to exchange ideas, formulate general plans, and form strategies aimed at improving our legal and judicial system to better reflect the founders intent and the realities of the 21st century.

How do we do this:

1 We first identify the groups and organizations that are most interested in meaningful legal and judicial reform. Currently between our combined members list and e-mail list there are more than 100 plus organizations that we can contact to find out if they wish to participate in this first gathering.

2 A time, place, and format for the gathering is necessary in order that participants will know that you are serious.

**The time has been picked, it is the weekend of May 1st, 2005, the location of the gathering is to be Washington D.C., the seat of our nation’s government charged with the oversight and discipline of our judiciary.

**A preliminary conference center has been setup within a six minute drive from the Capitol of the United States at Forest Heights Baptist Church, Oxon Hill, Maryland, which is at the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Route 95. Another boon to the location of the conference site are three hotels having 500 rooms within two minutes of site available to participants with an additional 4000 rooms with in a 10 minute travel distance.

3 An additional staging area will be needed as a headquarters. A coordination center for administrative affairs will be required in putting forth a consolidated and well
organized rally and gathering.

**This to is available less than a minute from Forest Heights Baptist Church, which comes complete with sufficient office equipment necessary to accommodate volunteers and other staff members as may be needed to put together this first gathering.

Program that would be billed as March for the Victims of Law with a gathering of organizations and their leaders brought together in order to exchange ideas, which hopefully would lead to a coalition for future activities and an exchange of views, literature, and ideas. This done in the hope that this could spur the different organizations to form a larger coalition with other attendees all supporting the same goals. Remembering that United We Stand, and that if we are divided victory is unlikely.

How do we advertise:

a. We put out a general call to action on all of our respective web sites advertising the first annual meeting of Victims of LAW day seeking interested parties and groups to get feedback, as to whether they would be interested in having their groups represented.

At first glance we have taken care of the first item. A location for our first gathering, lodging for participants, support facilities necessary for coordination, a well organized and coordinated effective campaign, which will show our legislative leaders in the best way that the people have a voice, and that their constituents want meaningful change and reform in our broken legal system.

Proposed schedule events:

1 Friday April 29th - arrival and check-in.

2 Saturday April 30th - organizations wishing to reserve a table for the conference check-in at 7 a.m. for set up. Open house beginning at 9 a.m. running through 5 p.m. at the Forest Heights Baptist Church gathering place, a general meet and greet session to exchange ideas. Further details to be added later.

3 Sunday May 1st -, a rally at the United States Supreme Court celebrating LAW day and what the true meaning should be; with designated speakers from various organizations wishing to participate. Concluding with a prayer that the courts start respecting the rule of law and liberties of our citizens.

4 Monday May 2nd
a. A gathering at Lafayette Park across from the White House from 8:30 a.m. to 10
a.m. this is a staging point for the march for liberty which will have five stops. Opening ceremony start at 9 a.m. with a prayer for unification and solidarity for the attendees and our government leaders who have the power to restore justice and liberties for all.

b. 10 a.m. participants will travel 2 blocks to 15 and H streets to the American Bar Association’s D.C. headquarters building where speakers will be publicly be asking the American Bar Association and its executives to join in the effort to cleanup our broken system, and restore Justice and the Rule of Law To our BROKEN Court system.

c. It is anticipated that a small portable podium on wheels shaped in the form of a coffin bearing the inscription “The Death of Lady Justice” will be one of two floats, which will symbolize and memorialize the theme of the gathering. A second float will be also on wheels, and will be a small jail cell with a bust of Lady Liberty contained inside, which will be described as “The Imprisonment of Liberty”, which also fits with the overall theme of the gathering.

5 11:00 a.m. the procession will proceed down 15th Street
past Liberty Park - down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Department of Justice (a six blocks walk) arriving at the Department of Justice at 11:30 a.m.. At this time speakers will attempt to address citizens concerns to Justice Department officials in a public forum.
Note it will be necessary to arrange a short lunch break between these two stops
.
6 1 to:30 p.m. the procession will once again will move up Indiana Avenue, three blocks, to Judiciary Square where our speakers will once again address their concerns in a public format speaking about the judges injustices which are eroding our society’s confidence in the courts.

7 1:15 p.m. the procession will move once again down Indiana Avenue - down 4th Street - to the Federal District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia (approximately four blocks) where once again designated speakers will be speaking for 20 minutes.

8 At the conclusion of the speaking in front of the Federal District Court, those who are designated to speaker at 2 p.m. forum will proceed to move once again to the Front Lawn of OUR United States Capital. This is where the final speakers will address the participants in a setting that is a fitting and proper place for people to request that their leadership take action on their behalf, in order to restore our broken legal system and courts of law to something better resembling OUR Constitution and Declaration of Rights, as our Founding fathers wanted, and envisioned for this Great New Republic of ours.

9 At this point it is hoped that our legislative action leadership will disperse the participants in predesignated groups to visit the offices of their respective Senators and Congressman, and deliver to them a formal request signed by all coalition numbers requesting that the full House and Senate, as a unified body, begin an investigation into the concerns of the people raised by and brought to their direct attention by their constituents participating in the first annual gathering of Victims of Law Day. The legislative portion will begin at 3 p.m. through 5:30 p.m., at which time the official event of the day will be concluded..

How do we fund this gathering:

Here my ideas:

1 Groups and/or organizations wishing to participate and be listed as co-sponsors behind original organization would be required to pay a registration fee of approximately $200 plus guarantee that a designated number of their numbers would be participating in the event.

2 For those not able to participate it is anticipated that and on-site form request to their accomplishment would be made available that they can sign and have a delivered to their representatives for a $10 donation towards cause. Advertising space of promotional materials can also be sold, the solicitation for corporate sponsors would need to be explored
and all outright donations would be graciously excepted

It is expected to the following organizations would be responsible for the leadership/coordination and implementation of these ideas and overall management that would be required.

Forest Heights Baptist Church has tentatively been reserved pending approval by trustees and church by the church body within the next ten days.

This is a rough draft of what I believe could be a very successful tool that we could use to get the word out to the various organizations that are as concerned with the dangerous path our courts are now taking in the dispensing of injustice at the expense of losing the rights and liberties afforded under the Constitution.

Please feel free to make any suggestions you may deem appropriate or helpful.

These people, the SCOTUS, put their pants on one leg at a time like everyone else - their appointments are almost always political. They take an oath to uphold and protect the United States Constitution, yet they rarely do. Sandra Day O’Connor has turned into one of the most liberal justices ever - her badly researched and advised briefs have left this country with fractures so deep, they may never be repaired.

I advocate long terms, but no life terms for these people. I also advocate that every justice must rely heavily on the US Constitution with no foreign interference. America is a sovereign nation with an iron clad Constitution - the SCOTUS members MUST adhere to our own laws and Constitution. The one Constitutional scholar up for the job in the past few years was Robert Borke – he was, as might be expected – thoroughly Borked, by the liberal MSM and liberals/socialists in government. That was a great loss for America. The judges by and large are not what they seem once on that hallowed bench however, Robert Borke was as clear as glass on the Constitution and still is. Bush’s picks, albeit conservative, are what this country needs – men and women who follow the law and the constitution – not make law from the bench as all the Clinton judges did and do!

Mobilizing people for a protest march can certainly demonstrate the dissatisfaction of conservatives toward the court, but how much effect it would have toward changing the behavior of the Court is debatable. There is however a way to change both the Court and consequently its behavior. Please take a look at this effort as an addition to your effort to mobilize conservatives in an effective effort to restore our Constitutional Republic:

Please take the time to read the articles listed in Post 49. These five articles outline a simple, but very effective way to quickly recover the Constitutional Republic that we have lost to the socialists that now control our government. The keys to realizing the Reagan Renaissance are found here:

We can stop the madness before it is too late. But it will take leadership from people like yourself.

"It is remarkable to see how relatively numerous in declining empires are the people capable of making the right diagnosis and preaching some sensible cure. It is no less remarkable, however, that wise utterances remain generally sterile, because, as Gonazles de Cellorigo forcefully put it while watching impotently the decline of Spain, "those who can will not and those who will cannot."
Carlo M. Cipolla: "The Decline of Empires"

"..history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening."
Ronald Reagan, Time for Choosing, 1964."

Sheesh. Even in England, three centuries ago, the law would not allow the execution of anyone under 12. A five-year-pld has never, in the history of the Western World. been tried for murder.
