'INSULTED BY A JEW'

A Muslim man bombarded synagogues with telephone calls for three days threatening to kill, rape and blow up Jews. 

Riaz Burahee, 25, of Edmonton, north London, who has photographs of Osama bin Laden at his home, admitted 10 offences.

Wood Green Crown Court heard Burahee told police he made the calls because he had been insulted by a Jew.

The court heard he had made as many as 92 calls, telling people to leave the building or be bombed.

Burahee, who described himself as a Muslim with strong religious beliefs, said he had no links to terrorism.

Photographs of Bin Laden and militant US civil rights activist Malcolm X were found in his room.

David Owen-Jones, prosecuting, said Burahee had made threats to bomb, threats to kill and threats to kill and rape children in March last year.

He said Burahee referred to "Hitler being right" and women who answered his calls were called "Jewish whores".

The court heard Burahee's mental state may have been affected by cannabis or alcohol abuse.

It was also suggested he may be suffering from some kind of paranoid psychotic illness.

Burahee is due to be sentenced on April 4, when psychiatric reports have been completed.

Sorry, I thought I had clarified that the sentences he'd be facing were if he were convicted in the United States. I don't know what he'd get in Britain. I believe he must be facing some jail time, or the mental incapacity defense wouldn't have been brought up so soon after his arrest.

Insulted by a Jew? My stars!

I thought the real insult was how green Israel has become after the arabs ran away in 1948. Desertification has been stemmed and the rains are returning after 1500 years of arabs overgrazing and overpopulating, turning the fertile crescent into a desert. It's amazing what can be accomplished if you pay attention to the clock, don't spend half the day running back and forth to the mosque, and don't keep half of the population at home and pregnant wrapped in a burqua.

How's that for an insult? Not too good I guess, since all are facts.

It seems to be a recurring element of history...the backward, dying 'culture' that is unable to make a go of things lashes out at those around it as 'oppressors' instead of looking at itself as the source of it's problems.  The cultures that are able to honestly critique themselves and change accordingly always seem to be the successful ones.

This is a great fear of mine and many others.  Our British Friends deserve far better than this fate, and I wish that we could do more to help them reclaim their country and their culture.  One spark of hope, however, is the polling data that I've been seeing regarding the British public's acceptance of the EU in their lives. I believe that the last numbers I saw were in the neighborhood of 70% against adopting the EU constitution for Great Britain.  Hopefully this sort of sentiment will continue, build and grow to the point where the British people can truly call England 'home' again.

It was sort of a metaphor, as they don't, and wouldn't exist anymore. He should, by natural law have walk a mile in their shoes so to speak.

I just, in all honesty, don't get what any of these people have/had against the Jewish people. It makes absolutely no sense tome.
