Bring religion back to American government (Zotted by irreligious mod).
Hmmmmmmm. ^ | 2-25-05 | Jared Simpson, eleven-star ayatollah.

Posted on 02/25/2005 1:18:59 PM PST by robertborkiscool

America is a nation on the decline because of our move away from God and religion and our love of secularism. Children are taught evil, immoral things in school such as how to put condoms on bananas and Darwin's theory of evolution. Mandatory prayer in public schools has been forced out, along with theology. These wonderful Biblical things have been replaced by an ungodly love of science and other anti-Christian, anti-moral subjects.

Most of Europe has plunged itself into the depraved depths of Sodom and Gomorrah because of its secularism. America is well on its way to following them. But it doesn't have to be this way. In a world that is increasingly moving away from religion and traditional values, a shining beacon of light stands as a courageous fortress of morality and virtue. That beacon is fudamentalist Islam. Islamic theocracies have none of the evils that plague our secular society. They have no abortions, no gay marriage, no teaching of evolution, and no teenage girls dressed like sluts. They are morally superior to us and we should strive to follow their example. Let us bring religion and moral values back to our government and our society.

I watch the situation in Iraq and pray each day that Iraq follows the virtuous, fundamentalist path of Iran rather than the evil, secularist path of non-fundamentalist Muslim nations like Turkey. Countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia are the best examples of moral values we have, and America should become more like them. The secularist tendencies of the new Afghan government are another worry. We never should have removed the Taliban from power.

America is a nation obsessed with freedom and individual rights. If we are to become a virtuous and moral nation, we must learn to make the rights of the individual subordinate to the morality and virtue of the whole. If freedom means the freedom to smoke marijuana, leer at bikini-clad women, or read Darwinist gibberish, I want no part of it. If freedom stands in the way of morality, then freedom must go, for nothing is more important than morals and the way of God.

I am a Christian, but I salute Islam for sticking to its guns and not becoming "moderate" like so many of my lost Christian brothers have. May fundamentalist Islam and fundamentalist Christianity work together to defeat the evil of Satan, secularism, Darwin, and the abortionist. Long live the Islamic Republic of Iran! May America find its way and follow Iran's shining example of morality.

That's a really old joke, but I guess this is the place for it.

In reality, aspirin is acidic, and could cause acid burns from too long contact. Some folks have discovered this in treating toothaches with contact aspirin. Their temporary treatment caused permanent damage.

Since the stomach is already acidic, aspirin does less harm there. Still, I feel that aspirin is more of a known quantity than the newer pain relievers, and aspirin reduces irritation of tissues, which is a component of muscle aches.

White willow bark tea was (is) used before aspirin was invented, and it has no side effects. Too much aspirin will cause internal bleeding as well as tinnitus, and in some cases, temporary deafness, even though it is a good anti-inflammatory and antipyretic. (SP?)

Toothpicks should be made from Willow!

Antipyretic is the correct spelling, fever-reducer.

Aspirin is a miracle drug, but if you wanted to bring it to market today, FDA would never approve.

"...Aspirin is a miracle drug, but if you wanted to bring it to market today, FDA would never approve."

Drug companies would never approve of it because it can't be patented and given a name that will bring them mega-bucks. It IS a "miracle drug" and always has been, ever since it was synthetically made and given a name.

If it was invented today it could be.

Of course it would be pulled from the market and huge lawsuits would ensue over the horrific side effects.

It may be patented as a "new medicine" but I doubt the FDA would approve it, simply because it is so easy to make and because the side-effects are only temporary.

The drug companies make millions on drugs that have lasting side-effects because they can manufacture other drugs to counter-act the side effects of the drug they manufactured last year.

The idea is not to HEAL a patient, but to make them dependent on certain drugs that most people can't afford.

Can I have your portion?

Can we negotiate? I can be clad in a bikini if you are willing to split the rest.

Do you want to read the Darwinist gibberish to me or shall I read it to you?

But let's skip the putting the condom on the banana. In ten years of teaching, I never once ahd that in any of my lesson plans.

By the way, Meekie, congratulations on having gotten your wife through the ordeal with the INS.

She got through the tribulations, and now she's part of our tribe.
