Drug companies would never approve of it because it can't be patented and given a name that will bring them mega-bucks. It IS a "miracle drug" and always has been, ever since it was synthetically made and given a name.

If it was invented today it could be.

Of course it would be pulled from the market and huge lawsuits would ensue over the horrific side effects.
