In which case, you give up your unnatural life suport, too. In this case, it's food and water. We respect your decision. Start now?

She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support.Yep, feeding her through a tube is unnatural, if she can't feed herself, then let her starve!!! Oh, and babies too, they can't feed themselves!!

She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support She is not on life support. She breathes on her own and her heart beats strong. She cannot swallow therefore she has a feeding tube. The goal is to get her physical therapy which she has been denied so she can eat on her own.

I have mentioned this before, but I have a friend whos daughter cannot swallow and is in a wheelchair. Every time she ate, she was in danger of suffocation. She has a feeding tube hook up on her belly. This is how she eats. It is no different than what is happening with Terri.
It's no more a natural death than if I decide not to fill my cat's food and water bowls and she cannot get to the food.

I think you need to spend a great deal more time learning about this case before passing judgment.Food and Nourishment is NOT Unnatural Life Support!
To: WildTurkey
Food and water count as "life support"?
By your standard babies should not be fed. After all they cannot feed themselves. Clearly they are fated to die a "natural death" and for mothers to feed them is therefore "unnatural".
Think harder.

So are you, every time you eat food you didn't grow, manufacture and prepare entirely by yourself. Also every time you bathe with or drink water you didn't draw out of the ground all by yourself.

She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support. Dehydrating to death is not natural, cinFLA.

She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support. If her ever-loving husband would let her get rehabilitation therapy, Terri might not need the feeding tube.

She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support.
And you're being kept from natural death by man's unnatural shelter, clothing, vaccines, and high-yield agriculture. What's your point?

"She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support."
Your comment is so wrong on so many levels let's just cut to the chase and take it to it's logical and absurd extreme and eliminate all medical care. After all, there are many surgeries, medications and procedures that prevent "natural death", and others that prevent "natural" suffering.

A FEEDING TUBE IS not a heart and lung machine and is NOT EXTRAORDINARY MEANS.

Unnatural life support? All she is getting is food and water. This isn't Carol Quinlan we're talking about here.

So is this guy. Educate yourself. There is no excuse for ignorance. Millions can not swallow, and are kept alive by feeding tubes.

"She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support." We'll issue a quick mandate to medical authorities that they must begin ripping colostomy bags out of patients! Turn off oxygen tanks and stop all kidney dialysis! No more insulin for diabetics, if their bodies cant produce it they shouldn't be alive!
Thanks for your advice.

I was happy beyond belief reading about Terri and then I saw your post: degrading, dismal, and deadly.

If someone thinks that keeping someone from a natural death is wrong, then I guess taking any medication, or going to the doctor, or having surgery is wrong too. They are unnatural means to keeping people alive. So is CPR, for that matter.

"She is being kept from a natural death by man's unnatural life support." She is living with the assistance of her fellow man...kind of like the people who operate the grocery store you shop for food at, or the people who designed and built the refrigerator you keep it in. We are all, for the most part dependant on one another for our needs.
