We have set up a site with many letters direct from Iraq. These Letters Home tell the truth about the good things our solders are doing today in Iraq!
www.therealiraq.org
Frustrated with all the bad news on Iraq, a group of patriots stateside developed The Real Iraq. This was the result of our now number one contributor simply writing a "letter home". On his first tour Randy Fritz, would send home an email letter, telling a story of the good soldiers were doing in Iraq. From the complex drilling for, and purification of water, handing out seeds to a community, or a simple toy to a Iraq child, the stories are captivating!
Awesome site **PING** ... thanks BSF!
For the rest check this out!!
Thanks Howlin for the ping.
I thought you might appreciate some feedback . .
The image below is a screen shot from:
Mozilla 1.7.5
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5)
Gecko/20041217
As you can see the entire site is there, but the frame that contains the scroll bar is only about 100 pixels down, this reduces most of the site into that tiny scroll window.
Freep mail me if you'd like more info.
Thanks for the ping, Howlin!
Welcome to FreeRepublic, Steve. Thank you for sharing your awesome website with us. What a great idea!
Thanks for the ping...can't wait to check it out....are you two related?
I don't think so :-), Young is a common name, But I know someone named Steve Young here in Maryland
What a great idea for a blog. We are STARVED for real information on Iraq and this will go a long way towards feeding that hunger.
A first rate idea! Let's see the Lefties stand up to the onslaught of facts this will place in the hands of the people. The truth will not be suppressed!
A.A.C.
Just thought maybe he was one of your brothers...
Great. Bookmarked.
We have only been up for 3 weeks. We did some local PR the first week and got 4 papers on the front page, and one TV station, all just local. Kathy and I do a lot of local public service and donations, so that gave us a hook.
We did take the emails provided to us from people in Iraq over the last year and one half and input them to give it depth.
One of the brief letters from Iraq:
"I had chow with a soldiers from one of the FOBs (Forward Operating Base). He has two children under 5 at home. His wife sent him a message that the roof was leaking and she had no idea what to do. He told her to just go to Home Depot and ask them to recommend a contractor. Not only did they recommend a contractor, Home Depot donated the roofing material and paid the cost of the labor. Our enlisted soldiers here in Iraq, especially the reserve and National Guard, take a tremendous pay cut to be here. A leaky roof breaks the budget. Thanks Home Depot some where in Connecticut!"
"Randy"
Thanks, but I am not the same Steve Young. Although, they made a good move, dumping Fiedler. But they need a QB like our Tom Brady.
Oh, my goodness.......this is FANTASTIC!! THANK you!!
Didn't want you to miss this . . .
What a wonderful site! Bookmark for daily reading. Thanks.
Good site and a great morale and inspiration booster. Our service men and women need and deserve all the support that we can give them.
Thanks for the ping, Mike
Passing it on
